That didn’t last long, I’ve got to give it to you both. It’s a pull up plug multi socket on the kitchen island.

Are they a set of weights?

I can see why you thought that Gloria. No, and we have seen them before. Look at the objects in the rectangular slot at the front, they are a good clue as to what is in the individual containers. (And look at the writing on the lids!)

You've see them before. I shan't let them hang on, they are very fine watchmakers drills. As far as I can make out the numbers on the lids are the diameters of the drills in thousandths of an inch and the biggest in the box is .012". Yes, and far beyond my imagination as well..... :biggrin2:
Next one for shaving?

What is it? Clue, it's a rough bronze casting for a part of my current steam engine.

It looks as though there are no takers. I shall knock it on the head at dinnertime.....

It's the rough bronze casting that later becomes a perfectly formed steam valve...... (as if by magic! :biggrin2: )

If you listened to Kitchen Cabinet on Radio 4 yesterday it might be filled with black pudding!

Black pudding would be nice but it's much more simple than that.

Ian has it. Cathy gets a bonus point as it was served with savoy cabbage, peas and gravy.
