We watched the first of four parts this week of The Deceived, looks like it may have the makings of being good.

I must be wired differently, I spent the evening watching old British Transport films...
Something Susan asked me triggered this off. She's looking for a source for the Uncle Silas stories written by the same bloke as Darling Buds of May. She once had the story tapes but now wants to find them on audio files. Any suggestions?

The dead hand of wokenss has descended upon the snooker. Last week it was Country File that was affected, and the Antiques Roadshow succumbed a long time ago.

Good 147 from Higgins though. . .

Nice evening, F1 at Silverstone and the last two frames of Ronnie beating Ding by a small margin. Lovely to see him comforting Ding afterwards, they are very close. He knows what it is like to be frustrated in a world championship attempt. He first did it many years since and Ding's parents took him to their hearts and he has been friends with the family ever since.

Our Yorkshire Farm again last night, brilliant, proper way to bring children up.

I watched it last night. Best thing on the tele at the moment though the bar is not set very high.

Totally wonderful. I love how the kids are set free to do things such as cutting the rushes with a great big pair of scissors unsupervised, and without carrying a written risk assessment.

All the kids have the countryside version of street wise from a very early age. Four years old and off you pop across the moor with your "big" six year old sister. More savvy than lots of adults.

I do hope nothing comes along to spoil it all. Like they sign up with Hello Magazine or do TV chat show interviews, or appear in adverts for things. I wonder what their connections are - do they have TV, mobile phone, and /or internet?

I think Amanda has been doing a good job of managing the media since the family first arrived on our screens in "The Dales" in 2011! There were only a few children then.....

Yes indeed - she must have a lot of energy. Perhaps she would consider a seat in the Cabinet?

When the snooker has finished I must have a look at that series. Susan has been banging on at me about it as well.
[At the moment I am glued to the green baize! Ronnie is leading Mark Selby 5-3 overnight and looking sharp!]
