It looks like too many stalactites to be The Anchor cellar (I could be wrong). Is it an old tunnel under a river?

Sorry no to all. Another clue, they aren't stalactites they are icicles and it's a railway tunnel!

You're both getting close but as yet, no cigar! You've been there recently......

Yes! I thought you'd have got it straight away. It's the base of one of the air shafts in the original rail tunnel. It was winter and so the updraught was freezing the water coming down the shaft.
