Sorry no Ian. You're right to place them in the mill. Associated with machinery of almost any kind. Think lubrication. :biggrin2:

Arte they reservoirs for auto oiling attachments?

I am going to give it to you Ian. You are close enough. They are sight glasses that fitted in the base of a drip feed lubricator and allowed you to see how fast the drops of oil were falling from the reservoir.
Set the next one?

Very difficult. If there has been no movement by dinner time I shall knock it on the head. (You've seen it before....... :biggrin2: )

It was difficult. It's a supplementary close up lens for a Kodak Box Brownie camera.
Try this one....
Why are the gutter corbels on the gable end of the Cross Keys pub there?

No Tom. There is a clear reason why that gutter was there..... It's pertinent that it isn't needed now.....

Was it to feed a water tank?

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS

by Stanley
You've got it Kev. Notice the slope on the corbels. The gutter was picking up the water falling on the roof at the front of the pub and instead of just dumping it in the road was taking it to a rainwater Storage tank at the back of the pub. Well done.
Now for the next one?
