Attacking the problem we found with one transcript in the LTP. Three tapes in one series had no pictures. Most likely explanation is that it was my mistake, I remember putting them in but for some reason mustn't have saved the work properly. Whatever, Ian has found a fix and all I have to do is re-edit one informant and then we should be OK because I have checked all the others. (Yes, all 194 of them!)

I attacked the rogue transcript yesterday and five hours work sorted the problems so today will be taking it easy I hope and doing some more reading on my Pagans!

Ian tells me that the latest edits of the LTP are OK so I can relax and dig further into my Pagans..... My next series for the BET will be based on this so I will be able to get a few more articles on the stockpile in case I am hampered in October after my eye operation.

I'm heading for the poly tunnel where there is a lot of tidying up to do. The tomato & courgette plants need clearing out, there is beetroot ready to lift and a pile of ripened shallots waiting to be pickled.

Archive room this morning, lots of clearing up and putting away to do after last weekend's event then back to the garden.

Private French tuition this morning then a good house clean. It's weeks since it was done as we haven't been here much. The dust is rather thick. Then, guilt free, I can get my sewing machine out. We have just finished fitting out the spare room with storage units from IKEA, so that I now have an art and craft room all to myself. I can paint cut and sew etc without thinking that I have to clear the table to eat.

Sorting my new craft room, a place for everything and everything in its place. Still trying to organise it so I can get my knitting stuff in there too.

All good sheds shrink as you install the stuff in them.....

Wondering what to wear for my appointment at dinnertime. Torn between the Harris Tweed suit and the Magee sports coat with green moleskin trousers.

A day to potter. I may sew, go to M&S , visit some friends and possibly go for a swim.

Some work today including visiting a home for severely disabled kids. Their spirit and resolve uplifts me every time I go. Nolic

Today I am starting the new creative writing group at Todmorden U3A. Our other one has got too big so we have had to start a new one for those on the waiting list. I shall train a new convenor to take over after the end of January.

This morning is a trip to the wool shop. Eve would like a new cardigan.' I think pink grandma, or definitely purple or perhaps yellow'

Hmm I said to Eve that I would chose a colour and surprise her!

I've been writing an article a day for the BET to make sure there is a stockpile in case I have any difficulty with seeing after Tuesday. Will do another today.....

You will be surprised at how well you will be able to see. Both my parents had it done earlier this year and still comment on how bright and clear everything is.
