Sorry Gloria. No, but you are right in thinking that it's inside the engine. No what Part of the engine has a bore with a grating on the top?

Seems a bit low for pasturisation point of milk and a bit high for the safe temperature for baby's bath. Is it a warning point when it is too hot to work (in a confined space ?)
