WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

Grilled two nice pork chops and added the meat to the casserole. More spuds, carrots and parsnips cooked so dinner and tea were essentially the same as yesterday.

French style Chicken/Leek/Mushroom/Tarragon Casserole...slow cooked as we enjoy a walk on the beach.
Positively T-shirt weather today. 24 degrees. Spring is in the air and there are Dragonflies and Butterflies everywhere.
You know that one day in the year that can never be repeated, when you get the first warm rush of air in your face and know that Spring is here...today was the day. Worth bottling!

I love it when the warm breeze blows on you.
Sirloin steak, chips & onion rings tonight - the cooker in the caravan does not have enough power to grill steaks and we do not cook chips in it so it is nice to come home to real chips & grilled meat.

I shall be looking at chips Moh. I am getting a bit stalled with endless spuds and carrots! I had them again yesterday but have only got a bit of the pork casserole left. I shall kill that and move over to butties and chips for a while....

Home made lamb curry tonight served with rice & chipattis.

I finished the pork with peas for dinner and finished the old loaf with fried eggs and tomatoes for tea. I ate too much! I shall have to take myself in hand for a while!

Small cheese and tomato butty for dinner. Beans on toast with a small side helping of chips made with Maris Piper spuds, lovely.... (and more abstemious!)

Haven't had one in years. In fact since my Granny died in the early 1980's, she used to make them. Note to self; find a recipe and try it.

4oz plain flour, pinch of salt, 1 egg, half pint of milk, whisk to get as much air in the mix as possible. Deep bun tins with lard or oil in each depression (lard best). Hot oven, pre-heat bun tray with oil until very hot, then pour batter into each depression half to three quarter full. Return to oven and cook until risen and golden, resist temptation to open oven door or they may fall. Same mix can be used for Toad in the Hole or Pancakes of course. Put two eggs in if you want them extra rich... Enjoy Liz.

Boring I know but the same as yesterday. I was thinking when I washed up at teatime that repetition was OK if you were thinking how much you enjoyed the meal as you were washing up. Lovely caramelised onion sausages.....

Haslett Butty for dinner. I slow cooked a nice piece of braising steak and had it on a butty for tea. Good example of how slow cooking can improve a cheap cut.

Thinking of making pizza for dinner. Have some Ham left over from yesterday and it seems a good way to use it up.

I casseroled some sausage using the gravy from the steak as a base. Sausage butty for dinner but the remainder of the sausages and gravy with deep fried carrots, chips and peas for tea. Very morish but I managed to control the munchies!

I used your recipe to make Tomato Relish, Stanley.
Made it on Thursday and served it on Saturday...and they all enjoyed it with Mexican Corn Chips. ( I did add quite a bit of Chilli...) Used fresh Mint from my garden too.
