So far it has rained but it seems to have stopped and although there are some clouds I can see some blue. Eileen

We didn't have a bad day, bit of drizzle later in the afternoon and evening but much milder and the frost was washed away. The wind eventually swung into the SW, Glass is on 28.9" this morning. There is a big low to the NW of the Isles and it's going to track SW over us until Tuesday so it looks like mild and showery till then. Better than the frost!

Reasonable day yesterday. Glass on 28.9" and tending to drop if anything. What I call nowt weather... Boring but better than severe winter weather! Haven't heard anyone trailing the old question of snow at Xmas yet, not long now I suspect!

Lots of rain yesterday, two wet and windy walks! Glass has risen to 29.4 and it's dry outside with very little wind. Good!

A beautiful day yesterday and another today here in Brittany, however the forecast for the week gets worse after that

This was the unusual sight we were treated to yesterday! Glass is still rising and it's over 29.5" this morning. Dry and calm. Could be another reasonable day but as usual the Met Office are promising us wind and rain later in the week. Normal Barlick weather!

Yes Eileen, Winter Solstice approaches, coincidentally I think Nostradamus has the date down for the end of the world as well! I will lock this topic off and declare Winter open on the prescribed date (as long as the prediction is incorrect of course). At least if it's to be fire and brimstone, it will be a tad warmer!

Same here Eileen. Jack and I went out for our walk. Full wet weather gear including leggings. Wind rain and cold. Glad we are back indoors. I shall think about Wendy in the fields lifting the spuds.......

Heading for 40 C on Sunday. Predictions are currently for 26C on Christmas Day...but if that cool change is slow to come in and just hovers for a few days it could be warmer. (groan)

Ah...you poor things, Mags.
( can just see your buttered bread turning up at the corners and drying out within 2 mins of buttering!)

A long time since we last chatted, Mags....all the best to you and yours for Christmas.
