Well done that young lady, you don’t see people giving up their seats very often nowadays.
Absolutely but I feel old now

Indeed but as Sue says, it has an effect on thew recipient!

I've just woken up from a big second sleep and I am settling in for a day of doing nothing.... (Once this load of washing is finished....

)

Found an email that I forgot about with going on holiday. I should have booked a service for the car which was due on the 20th of this month. I'll do that today, needs looking at as I have noticed an intermittent slight whine when in Drive.
As reported elsewhere lift my starter from the fridge to warm.
This afternoon we have a chat booked at the gym with Katie, encouraged by our Jack who uses the facilities. They have an over 60's group that will probably be beneficial for us both. Brew and a chat to see what they can offer. Interested to see what they have done with my Uncle Bobs Joiners Shop at the former Skipton Road Gas Works which I knew well back in the 60's and 70's.
Car service was sorted yesterday, as was our assessment at the gym yesterday afternoon.
That took just over an hour, a 15 minute chat with the instructor (Dan) who noted our strengths and any weaknesses, that was reinforced with about an hour in the gym with some very basic upper and lower body strength, stretching and mobility exercises and using some of the kit to see how we got on. we were finally measured, waist, hips thighs and calves. We have already decided to sign up for the course so we had a couple of emails from the club later in the day. These gave us information for completing registration and how to download the phone app that you can use to book your sessions and track your progress. You can do this on your phone or on the equivalent site online. We decided to register on the phone app separately as there may be odd sessions that Sally can't do at the same time as me due to our Ruby coming up and she will be taking her and Isla to Liverpool for a couple of days. No problem for the gym as they will probably be running two groups so you can select your own sessions that are best for your individual circumstances. We completed our registrations this morning. The groups are instructor led with no more than four in each group session. Two sessions per week over eight weeks so sixteen sessions in total. Looking forward to it as I am certain it will be beneficial for both of us.
