Morning

Another warm night last night and its so still. The forecast is for19 degrees cloudy and dry. I shall keep watering my pots from the stored rainwater to try and get them soaked through before we go away at the end of the week. Although rain is forecast its not very much. I have no plans for the day other than yoga in the studio this evening. Have a good day all

Morning Sue. You could be right about the rain and the Met Office are hinting at another heatwave in the offing, evidently the warmth from the Azores is knocking on the door!
I have just tottered to the Co-op and back for my milk and some nuts...... That'll do for exercise today. :biggrin2:

I have a sourdough loaf (a mix of white and wholemeal flour) in the fridge arguing with itself. Will bake it off when it is ready. I need a trip to the banking hub this morning with the shop takings which will be my next task. Then it is our hour in the Gym at 13.00

I shall be in the shed for an hour of Occupational Therapy early doors this morning.
I'm not seeing any weather good enough to tempt me out so I might put my pork belly and oranges in the slow cooker and do a bit of housework.
It doesn't really feel like high summer!

This morning I finished the crank brass, bored it to size and fitted it to the shaft. This is as far as I want to go with the drive train at the moment. There other things I need to do. Make the crankshaft bearings, make the crosshead and fit the guides and painting. All that needs to be done before I think about the Connecting Rod..... Now my goal is breakfast!

Morning

It was a very pleasant afternoon yesterday, sunny and reaching about 21 degrees in the back garden. In the morning we walked down to Screw Fix in Rochdale taking the more rural route and coming back a different version of the same route ie either side of Turner brothers which remains as derelict as ever despite all the action a couple of years ago.

There was a little rain during the night and its damp out there this morning, I think it will continue like that. I have an appointment at lunch time, and pilates and yoga this evening. Bob is at the park doing maintenance and collecting the takings from Sunday. I have a bit of sewing to do but am trying to keep everything tidy in that room. Have a good day all

Later.... I have improved the shining hour by frying my sweet potato chips.... I was thinking about putting my pork belly in the slow cooker with three oranges and a couple of onions but decided to leave that excitement until tomorrow. :biggrin2:

I shall be in the shed for an hour first thing and then after second sleep I shall get my pork belly plus onion, spices and oranges into the slow cooker. I could put some washing away as well... What an exciting life I lead! :biggrin2:

I started on the crosshead guides this morning. Here they are cut to length and with the longitudinal channel cut into them. Now they need refining and fitting. That comes tomorrow. Now I am focussed on breakfast.

Things are going well. I have dealt with the dry washing and got a new load going on a hot wash.... (Good for the machine after a lot of 40C washing....) The pork belly is sat in the slow cooker with its companions and they are arguing with each other nicely. Things could be a lot worse!

Morning

A bit late this morning, my Duolingo French too longer than expected and we had to be up and out early to go to the hairdressers. I also wanted to get the washing done and on the line before we went out. We are now back with a cuppa and the washing is nearly dry enough to iron. I am keeping on top of it this week so we can pack on Friday. This afternoon its the walk to the bank with the little train money and this evening a meal with Wendy and Keith before we go away as Wendy was not well last Friday. Its a nice sunny breezy day. Have a good day all

Morning Sue, you were lucky, we never saw the sun or if we did I missed it!This morning I shall be in the shed early doors for my hour of OT. I have taken the gravy off my belly pork and put it in the freezer already this morning and will deal with that later. A walk could be on the cards later this morning as we are forecast to have a dry day. We shall see!

Another small but accurate step. I finished refining the finish on the crosshead guides and then measured and marked for the 5BA clearance holes for the set screws that hold the bars in place. Then I found the six set screws that will be needed. So I am ready now to transfer my attention to the engine bed and fit the guides. Now I'm looking forward to my breakfast.
