Yesterday ended up being quite sunny and a lot of blue sky. At 20:00 it was cool, dry and a very light breeze. First thing this morning it's cool, calm and overcast but dry. The glass is down a touch on 1016mb and the forecast is for a cloudy but dry day. The SW wind is light and gives a high of 8C and a low of 5C with a -3C wind chill. As for the outlook.... Late tonight the wind will start to rise and we shall have wind and heavy rain that will last for two days as the Atlantic low pressure systems finally break the high pressure in the East. After that, brighter changeable weather for a while.

Much the same as yesterday morning, light rain, slight breeze, overcast. We had odd sunny spells yesterday, don’t think that is going to happen today.

Yesterday afternoon we had the odd very light shower. At 20:00 it was cloudy, a light wind but cool and dry. First thing this morning we had the full Monty, a gusty strong wind and heavy rain, it hasn't changed since. The glass has dropped with a bump to 998mb and is still falling fast. The forecast is simple, heavy rain all day. The SSW wind is constant, strong and gusty, up to 40mph at times. This gives a high of 10C and a low of 5C with a chill of -6C early in the day. The outlook is more wind and rain tomorrow and then mixed weather with even a hint of snow on Saturday!

Raining, but not heavy rain, breezy, but nothing strong, colder than it has been.

Yesterday was quite simple, strong wind and heavy rain all day and the same first thing this morning. If there is any change it is that the wind is stronger. The glass has plunged to 968mb and is still falling. The forecast is for rain until about 09:00 and not returning until some possible light showers late afternoon. The strong mainly WSW wind is the story, it will gust to over 50mph any time today and gives a high of 6C and a low of 3C with a wind chill of as much as -7C in the strongest winds. We shall have another wet day tomorrow and very changeable weather for the next five days with everything on offer from sun to snow. It will always feel cold!

That's what we have Gloria, scattered showers and sun forecast for 15:00 onwards. Just been shopping for veggies in Town Square and its fine, just a few odd spots of rain but a very strong wind. The glass is rising as fast as it fell....

We had light rain again after 14:00 and at 20:00 it was windy and light rain. Same first thing this morning and now. The glass has risen to 989mb. The forecast is for an overcast day with rain possible at almost any time. The constant WSW wind is brisk and gusts to 40mph giving a high of 5C and a low of 1C with a chill of -6C at times. The consequence is it will feel very cold all day. We have two more days of wind and rain tomorrow and Sunday and then the weather settles down for a day or two.
March “comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb”. It's the equinoctial gales but nobody seems to mention them these days.
Later at 08:00. Just back from the Co-op and i walked there through a shower of hard snow/hail. Charming....

Probably because they don't happen to order around the start of meteorological Spring. :laugh5: :extrawink:

They often do and have this year in case you hadn't noticed.
We had a dry spell at dinnertime yesterday but by the time I had put my boots on it was raining again. Now I haven't a dog I prefer not to be out in the rain! At 20:00 it was windy wet and cold and the same first thing this morning. I have just had a look and it hasn't changed. The glass has headed south as fast as it climbed yesterday and is on 974mb. The forecast is a rerun of yesterday with rain at any time. The wind is brisk and gusts to 40mph at times giving a high of 5C and a low of 2C but with as mush as a -5C chill. It will feel sub zero all day. Deep Joy! There is no cheer in the outlook. More of the same for the next five days but perhaps a little less wind and rain.

It’s stopped now Stanley 👍.
There’s rain, and there’s wet rain, even light drizzle can be wet rain, we obviously aren’t right over here in west lancs 😂

I got out for a walk under that patch of blue sky but even that had a spatter of rain in its tail.
At 20:00 it was cold wet and windy. First thing this morning it was clear, cold, dry and windy. Still the same now and even a hint of dawn in the east! The glass has done another yo-yo move and is on 1003mb. The forecast is for broken cloud and sun until late morning then rain for the rest of the day. The west wind is strong and gusts to 35mph, tending to north at times. The high is 7C and the low is 5C with as much as -6C meaning it feels cold all day so wrap up warm. The outlook for the next five days is similar but perhaps dryer....
Later, as it came daylight we had lovely scattered clouds tinged with Orange by the sun and it was bright and dry. 4 minutes later I went out in the yard and it dull and raining. English weather.....

We had a beautiful walk along our beaches this morning...about 22C at the time. Walked the seaside markets. Lovely morning. Hubby was tempted to buy a bag of malted cookies by one vendor. He will enjoy those with a glass of milk. ( not for me, I do not have a sweet tooth)

We had a bit of broken cloud and sunshine yesterday but not a lot and always cold. A shower of rain at dinnertime. At 20:00 the wind had dropped a bit but we still had cold rain. First thing this morning it was cold, dry and just a light breeze. No change since then. The glass is up again on 1012mb. The forecast is for a dry cloudy day. The wind is a constant moderate NW and gives a high of 9C and a low of 5C with a -2C chill. Surprisingly warm for the NW quarter. The outlook is for warmer and drier weather but little sun. Things could be much worse!
