I shall be in the shed early doors working on my lids. All that is certain about the rest of the day is that at some point, probably mid-morning, I shall go across to Rainhall Road School and vote for the Liberal candidate in our Council by-election.

I'm going to decline the shed, have an early breakfast and go back to bed. Another broken night so I need to get some sleep in.

Morning

Its dark , its damp but its 11 degrees. It's forecast to be the same all day even reaching 13 degrees. Yesterday stayed dry until the evening and we had a pleasant walk into Rochdale and back. We had a browse in Marks and Spencer's to check on the price of a few things for Tairas present from my Pilates group. So far I have collected £55 with another £20 promised, though £32 of that was spent on toiletries in France. We haven’t joined the main collection which I gather is over £400. I think you will see she is a popular person. In the afternoon I made a coaster for her on the embroidery part of my sewing machine.

Today is the last Art at Haslingden before Christmas ( we do 10 week blocks), then we are all out for lunch together. I should just be back in time to set up for Lucy coming. She should finish her skirt toile so we can check the fit before cutting out the actual skirt Have a good day all.

Mild here as well Sue. I have had a short walk to vote in our local council by-election. Going back to bed was the right decision I think. I am definitely not as well as I am usually....

"Bryony Hartley (mum of three) is the niece of former Mayor of Pendle, the late Ken Hartley."

Good pedigree. :extrawink:

This morning I finished refining the lid and then drilled and tapped for the two 5BA CS screws that cover for the bottom studs. No dramas, got them right first time. Another small but accurate step. Now for breakfast.

Morning

Only just woken up. I was very tired last night. We had a full day. Art then lunch and we had only been home about half an hour when Lucy came. We made progress, she is coming on well. By the time I got back from walking with her to the bus it was nearly 5.45 pm. Then we had a much needed cuppa before another art friend called to pick up her art bag which we had brought home for her. She stayed for a cuppa and 1 chat so it was nearly 7.00 pm before I even started my Duolingo French lesson. I did have a very pleasant and unexpected surprise ( well it has to be unexpected if its a surprise) but the organiser of the art group gave me a bottle of wine and flowers for the session I took a few weeks ago on silk painting .

This morning Bob is hoovering through whilst I dust and wet clean, it won’t take long after last weeks thorough do. Its lunch (again!) with Wendy and keith and a quieter day than yesterday I hope. Have a good day all, rain is forecast mid morning till mid afternoon

Morning Sue! It's dry and bright here but cold. Back from the Co-op where I got milk and frozen peas. My new Norway fleece is splendid, you don't need warm layers underneath it, it's sufficient on its own!

Looks like you swung it  .
Comfortable win for Ms Hartley. I look forward to seeing how she performs in the Council.

Poor result from Labour. They will not be looking forward to next May on that showing.
