Underside of a canal bridge built with pre-cast concrete beams. Looks like the one behind Gill Brow....

Hole in one, Stanley.
Bridge 158 on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, which carries the towpath from one side to the other and acts as an accommodation bridge.
Here it is from a more conventional angle.

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
Turnover bridge, on the Marton side if you look closely at the dry stone wall on the sweeping bend, you can still see the fixings for the rope rollers that were needed to get the horse drawn barges round that section. There's a winding hole as well just after the bend.

That's Millie the mill girl who stands outside Colne station.
Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
Wendy has got it. Its been there since March 2007 but I guess very few people have seen it. You can see it on Google street view at the bottom of Albert Rd and Primet Bridge.

It's certainly a badge, so I think I can give you 5 out of 10. (It looks like more of a broken heart to me...)Gloria wrote:Just guessing, but, a badge for Pendle Heart Foundation, if they have one???
Can anyone can come up with the exact purpose of the design? (Warning, it's a new initiative.)
Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
Is it to do with tourism - Blue for sky, green for landscape, blue and white for lovely skies/weather in spring and summer ??
I know I'm in my own little world, but it's OK... they know me here.

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
I remember reading something about a "Disabled Friendly Scheme" highlighting the problems that disabled people face when shopping. Is this the adopted badge. The last time I visited Barlick was to the dentist so I didn't stop long.

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
I think Cathy is right about the green and blue bits... and though there isn't now a Pendle Partnership, it's something along those lines.
This is the new logo for 'Brand Pendle', which is to be used in a new initiative aimed at promoting Pendle. The 'tagline' for this is:
Pendle ~ The In Place to Work - Live - Play.
I'll reserve my comment on this for a more appropriate thread!

Near enough Gloria, Part of the Wallace Hartley display near the war memorial Albert Rd Colne. The real thing sold for £900,000 not long ago. Missed winning this bid by a couple of Quid.
