Radiators? That was posh Cathy. At Hope Memorial they put the milk in the hearth in front of the big open coke fire.
That last ginnel is a lot tidier than it used to be.....

The last ginnel was repaved with setts in one of the heritage regeneration schemes carried out in recent years, the Stream and Steam Heritage Trail; this is a clue to its location.

Old Trawdeners (hubby included) call the ginnels which go under houses/buildings (like a tunnel) "ollerfares".

They were entries in Stockport as well Moh.
Shitten Ginnel or Pickles Hippings, take your pick. Actually the second name was only for the hipping (stepping) stones over the beck before the bridge was made.
