Yup. The Yorkshire unions were a different body altogether and accepted new members regardless of antecedents. Another attraction was that because Barlick was a late developer due to the dead hand of the Bracewell hegemony, when that empire crashed in 1885 and Barlick exploded into growth they had the advantages of the latest technology and there were plenty of jobs available.
