I have received Tripp's donation but no notification for yours Gloria. Having said that Windows mail is saying that there is an error with downloading messages at the moment so I will have a look later for any new notifications.

Just had a look on Paypal and I have donations from Wendy at 9.53, Chinatykes at 10.36 and Tripps at 10.58 today. No others are in the list for today. Have you tried restarting?

Just tried again, and this time it won't allow me to put the amount in. Can't see how this can be to do with the site problems but maybe so. I will wait until the problem has been sorted and try to donate again.

No one else seems to be having the problem Gloria, thanks for your efforts anyway.

Indeed you have Gloria and thanks. Did you receive the receipt and were you redirected back to the site on the designated thanks page?

Ironic isn't it - soon after donating the site collapses. :laugh5:

I had problems trying to donate but they were because I was trying to do it as a guest when I had forgotten that in order to by pass these problems last time I registered as a member. I think they have a policy of making it 'not easy' to get you to register. Once I bowed to their power and used the membership it worked like a charm and I got my receipt.

I presume you got our donation, Ian? I think Mrs Tiz got a confirmation from somewhere, presumably Paypal, but I don't trust them!

Yes I did Tiz and thanks. Paypal automatically issues a receipt for the donation. After donating a redirection rule I set up should then return you to the landing page thank you announcement back on the site, there is a link there for the Index page.

I cant quite understand Stanley statement. You do not need to be a Paypal member for them to process a donation, they will take money from anybody by any means possible as long as you follow the prompts. It's in their interest to make it as easy as possible as they take a fee for every transaction.

Nevertheless they wouldn't let me use guest account as my email was already registered with an existing account. I set that up last time when I had the same problems as Gloria and couldn't get the guest account to work and had forgotten.

But we managed it Stanley, proves we won't be beaten by a bit of technology. Can't remember having a problem before though.

Following my second use of the account I was bombarded this morning by emails from them. I went into the account settings and unsubscribed to everything I could find.
I think in my case it was the fact I had an account that made guest payment fail.
Never mind, I got there in the end!
