First come first served. Tripps has it. Tripps has it. (Must be listening to Bercow too much).
We are starting to drain the swamp on these puzzles , just a hand full left.

Indeed, although originally from the dark side, I do like him, a good Speaker of the House, has some good put downs and up there with Betty. :biggrin2:

Don't worry I have about 300 in my GCHQ book yet to sort. :smile:

At first glance - I thought that meant me. . . :laugh5:

Yes there is but I think the workings out are correct so I reckon it's an oversight.

Clue. Look at the word structure of each town then either by a series of guesses or dare I say simple simultaneous equations arrive at the answer.

Tripps, it looks like 60 years has been too long. The Noes have it, The Noes have it.

Looks like going for a third vote. PanBiker's answer is nearer but not quite right. Clue, its an even number.

I was actually going to stick 0.3 reoccurring on the end but I rounded down, should I have gone the other way?

Not sure about that PanBiker. Once you have identified the fundamentals the simultaneous method drops out with numbers that you can use in your head. Like all the things its easy when you know.

I'm going to have to resign as well then. I have used up all of my perceived knowledge gained from 5 years (3 hours per night once a week) of Calcs and Principles foisted on me during my City and Guilds training for Radio & TV Servicing. It's 45 to 50 years ago for me and probably the first time I have had to go back there. Binary subnetting is a lot easier. I would like to see the answer for the two variables to see where my memory gave up. :extrawink:

OK, I'll wait until China throws his cap in the ring then watch you all kick yourself. Meanwhile talk amongst yourselves. There's only one thing worse than being talked about and that's no being talked about.(who said that?)

LAS VEGAS 340

Consonant = 50, vowels = 30, then sum.
