We watched the 2nd part of the programme on ch4 about the Maya civilisation which used some amazing technology, then we watched the 1st of 4 of Ridley Road on BBC1, a bit of a different slant to your usual tv drama but worth a watch.

I've got my eye on Ridley Road. Is that the one about the Jews versus the Fascists?

Watched part 2 of Hollington Drive last night, donโ€™t know how much more of a hole this woman can dig for herself.

Just watched the next Portillo programme. He was in Oldham doing Churchill. I still can't get that Oldham is now part of Manchester. Then went to Heaton Park - they once had 40,000 people turn up for a record recital. I doubt they heard much. Then went to Edale and spoke of the Kinder trespass without mentioning Benny Rothman. Black mark Porters.

He didn't mention Robert Blatchford when he was at the Clarion either.

There's some snooker on if you root around to find it.

This looks better though - William Shatner boldly goes into space at age of 90. Good luck to them all.

Space launch live

I'll take the hint and watch it on catch up tonight.
More to the point, Norman Davies, the man who wrote the best history of Poland, is on In Our Time this morning as they look into the great Lithuanian/Polish empire.

Have you seen the John Lewis advert for their insurance services.

Must qualify as the most woke advert ever. I'm unsure which of the incidents it portrays is covered by insurance though.

None - I'd have thought - so what's the point? It'll probably win an award though.

I want and found it David. I didn't understand 'woke' before and I'm no nearer now. As far as I am concerned it is totally incomprehensible.

Judi Dench last night on Who Do You Think You Are. I wonder how many trees they look into whilst researching these, which come up with nothing significant? Another worth watching.
