Judi Dench a tad overacting in parts, but a very interesting watch. I right like her.
We watched the last Killington Drive last night, didn’t see that coming.

I think Tripps would give the Judy Dench a "spooky" comment! Like you Gloria, I wonder how many they have to check before they get a juicy one?

Sally had her suspicions from about episode two on the Hollington Drive outcome.

I recorded ELO, Wembley or Bust, from Sky Arts some time ago. We sat down with a bottle of Chenin Blanc and a bag of nuts this evening and thoroughly enjoyed it, so many great songs. Well worth watching if it's on again.

Watched Judy Dench. That was full of surprises!
Resisted the temptation to catch Shetland. I shall wait until I can binge.

I caught up with Judy too and loved her reactions to the revelations. Just when you thought from her expression that she was going to say something completely over the top and dramatic she came out with a brief, pithy and funny comment. Very entertaining!

Some time ago David mentioned an ITV series called 'Manhunt' starring Martin Clunes. I went looking for it and have watched the first three episodes of the seven. You were right David, a very watchable series and more so for being based on actual cases.
One thing I noticed is that ITV are trying to get an advertisement free service going and one of the ploys they are using is to have enormous ad breaks at the beginning of each episode. The trick is to go and do something else while that is on. :biggrin2:

We watched that Stanley, and it is good.

We also enjoyed manhunt. Only 2 series were made but as they were based on real cases, that's to be expected.
I'm not usually a fan of Martin Clunes but I thought he did a really good job in this.

I had the first two episodes of the second series last night.
I shall catch F1 Quali this evening and the race tomorrow.

Finished 'Manhunt'. A very good series and one that I suspect was watched by members of the force with approval. I think it was very close to the truth.

Watched part1 of The Long Call last night, can’t make my mind up, it struggled keeping my attention. It’s on for four consecutive nights, that’ll be a miss tonight then as we are going to watch Who Do You Think You Are with Alex Scott.

Seems it has been withdrawn, or pulled, or banned - depending which spin version you read.

My boycott of Waitrose seems to have done the trick - in less than a fortnight. .

Don't laugh...

We watched a film called A Flash of Genius about Robert Kearns who invented the intermittent windscreen wiper and his battle against The Ford Motor Company who stole his invention and claimed it as their own.

Seriously, we both thought is was quite good although it made very little money at the box office.
