Driving to Keele services on the M6. Taking our Ruby back, Keele is just about bang on half way between Barlick and Stratford and has turnarounds a few miles North and South of the site plus an overpass. Ruby's mum will meet us on the Northbound side and we'll use it as "Checkpoint Charlie". Added advantage of a get out for dumping the motorway if the traffic is bad. 170 miles instead of 350. Best day of the weekend as far as the weather goes I think.

On another matter I have yet to help Ruby make a Dragon! It's part of her homework tasks for school, they are having gathering of dragons ready for when St. George's day comes around.

Good luck with the dragon making Ian.

I'm mainly hoping to nurse a projector back to healthy life at the Rainhall Centre. Both our main and backup projectors are having problems; I don't want a breakdown during our Oscar nominated films tonight or on Sunday.

A good day. Bedding washed and almost dry on the line, then we went out and bought a new car. I wasn't expecting to buy a new car it just sort of happened on the way to B&Q to buy primulas for dads garden. Then we tootled over to Burnley and planted said plants and a few rescue plants from our garden. It all looks neat and springlike now. We finished the day with a trip to see number two daughter now 8 months and 3 weeks and I day pregnant. No news there. And she only looks 7 months pregnant, but we did have a nice brew and admired the view of Peel Tower from her lounge. Now back home Bob is lighting the wood burning stove for a cozy evening, whilst we wait for Tesco to deliver the shopping. I feel a hot cross bun coming on , warm, spread with butter. Now that is a good Saturday

It's a bit worrying that you can buy a car without meaning to on the way to B&Q....were you hijacked by a car salesman?
I've been over to Leeds to see Mum. I did her M&S food shop on the way over so our trip out together could be to a garden centre. I got some seed potatoes and onion sets, though it's not easy thinking about spring, when it doesn't really feel as if winter has arrived yet!

Long story. We had a phone call and a good offer for my low mileage car. Bob had arranged a chat on way to B&Q. We were all happy with the end result ESPECIALLY ME!

I got a Canon Powershot Maz after my friend Georgie recommended it. Brilliant little thing smaller than a fag packet and a delight to use. I'd recommend it to anyone.....

When I was in the hairdressers the other day there was a young lad having a perm( it's the latest fashion accessory for teenage lads). He kept taking selfies of each stage. I was chuckling to myself.

Kev, Mrs Nikon is still my main camera but I got the Powershot because it's so handy to slip in my pocket while I am out for a walk. Marvellous how they can get all that technology into something smaller than a fag packet!

Ouch, bad back today after cleaning and ironing yesterday followed by a few hours sewing. Bob normally hovers and washes floors but at the moment I have to. My back doesn't like it.

Moving Day for son today.
As it is a week day, help was a bit thin on the ground, so it was going to be just him and I ( and a dolly truck and a hydraulic lifting platform).
Then a mate with a day off offered to help him ( for payment of cash). So that was another few muscles to add to the effort and neither of us were going to refuse that, even though Mum was working for free!
Febby looked at me last night and said " Are you going to vacuum and scrub the bath etc?"
My reply...." Do I have a sign on my forehead that says S.T.U.P.I.D.?"
" no...just one that says M.U.M."
(Point taken)

Anyway...as things have turned out I am actually relegated to babysitting the dog...a much easier day than expected.
Except that when he dropped the pooch off, he dropped a big basket of washing off too.
