Steak pudding and chips for dinner, only half a bowl.... One teacake with a third of the cold rump steak on for a teatime butty. Grapes and nuts for pudding. Usual cold porridge at each end of the day to cushion my medication and spread out food intake. I think it's good policy.... Still losing weight very slowly, just right!

Last night was Chilli Beef Patties, Potato Salad, Garden Salad and Hard Boiled Eggs.
Tonight is Red Capsicum/Spinach/Fetta Quiche, with the left-over Potato Salad ( if I don't scoff that for lunch today) and Garden Salad.
Going cockling at the beach this morning, then off to an art exhibition, so don't know if we will be home for lunch and left-over potato salad may be safe....

Be careful with shell fish Maz.....
Had a small steak butty for tea and the last of the steak and onion gravy with chips and peas for tea, only half a bowl..... I'm enjoying the weight loss so much that I am pursuing 12 stone....

Our friend takes them for bait for his fishing... :grin: ...then we eat the fish he gives us (all boned and filleted and ready for the pan). It is a win/win situation.

Good! They can be dodgy little beggars! I found that out in Doncaster, I was visiting Slim Seaton, an army mate and we had a night out in the pub finishing with shellfish. Most unusually I had been drinking brandy and found out the hard way that they don't mix! Enjoy the fish....
I have been sticking to the small amount of cold porridge each end of the day to cushion the Metformin and spread my food intake out over the day. For dinner I had a burger and one slice of bacon on a small teacake and in the afternoon I cooked some sausage on a bed of onions and had some on another small teacake. I am being very careful to restrict my intake as losing weight slowly is so good for me. I am walking very easily with no ;pain in my knees. No doubt a consequence of being at least a stone lighter. Don't worry, I am eating enough....

Two very small butties for dinner with the remains of the sausage and onion. For tea, half a small bowl containing treats, half a fried black pudding, two small rashers of bacon, two fried eggs and half a tin of baked beans. Very tasty and satisfying!
Clean trousers this morning. Grupple (mix of grape and purple) corduroys that have been too small for years.....

It's getting spooky again. That's what I have when the diet gets too tough - with the addition of a handful of cherry tomatoes. - and you can't get it into half a small bowl, trust me. :smile:

David, isn't it nice to be able to indulge in mixtures like that without being frowned on!
Had half a bowl of the same minus the bacon for dinner to use the beans and black pudding up. One small bacon butty for tea.

This was simmering on the stove all evening. Two shear, onions, spuds and peas plus the usual additions. Soul food and slimming if you only have half a bowl.....

Dead easy. Two shear stew X two for dinner and tea. Half a bowl and soldiers made out of the last of the bread.... I'm eating a lot less bread. This was the remains of the loaf Kath gave me last Friday, still perfectly acceptable and moist.

I'm sticking to the new regime of four small meals a day to cushion my Metformin. Those at each end of the day are tiny and don't qualify as a meal really. Dinner yesterday was a small butty with haslet on it. I didn't feel hungry at tea so only had one small slice of bread doubled to contain some burger cooked on a bed of onions. I nibbled on a small piece of cheese, some nuts and raisins and an apple. I'm not hungry but will admit that the adverts for hot cross buns with melted butter running over them do trigger a craving but it's not hunger. I shall resist them! My strength is that of ten because I am pure.....

Half a small butty with sausage and onions again for dinner. I treated myself at teatime, I chipped three small potatoes and added what was left of the two shear stew and the sausage. I really enjoyed it and felt full afterwards with less than a bowlful.
Later, at dinnertime. I've made some sausage, beans and tomato sauce/sandwich filler and it looks good enough to eat! If you're thinking the stove top could do with a clean off you're right but it needs to be cold and it's been lit since September.

One small slice of bread with sausage beans and tomato on and folded over to make a tiny butty for dinner. Tea was a treat again, three small spuds chipped and some of the stew for a sauce. Nuts and raisins with an apple for pudding.

For dinner half a bowl of a melange of black pudding, tomato and sausage and peas. For tea, a deep fried small parsnip, peas and the other half of the black pudding reinforced with a fried egg.Nuts and sultanas and two apples for pudding.

Dead right David! 'd'epice orienteaux et fruit....' When I was in Montreal there was a regulation that all foods had to have bi-lingual labels. HP sauce didn't have the French message on it! Also on Worcestershire sauce the French translation was 'Sauce Worcestershire'. The strangest one was dog food. 'Confeiture du chien' now correct me if you like but my schoolboy French tells me that this meant in effect 'tinned dog'!
Moh, you do cook some old favourites....
Yesterday I had a half price pack of cod fillets in batter to deal with. I had one with peas for dinner and the other with chips and peas for tea. Made a few too may chips.... I shall rectify that indulgence today.

Small pork pie with peas. I was so early at butcher’s that Kath hadn't put the gravy in so I added some from Jack's dog food which was cooking at the time. Cooked a pork steak slowly on a bed of onions and had a very small pork and onion butty for tea. (one slice of my first loaf for 4 weeks folded over) Nuts and raisins, a small apple and a tangerine for pudding. (I watched a programme on nutrition and was pleased to see the nuts were providing my Selenium intake.....)

Neither of us have eaten bread since before Christmas ( Febby having lost about 6 kilos now as a result, whilst I have lost precisely nothing!)
Selenium was one of the things Febby was sent home from hospital with after his near-deadly bout of Septicaemia.
( he came home with a lot of costly weird stuff...none of which made him feel any better). His Follow up with the GP had him ditch a lot of the more obscure things. One he had been prescribed was for pregnant women! GP had quite a giggle about that.
He had to drill a new hole in his belt the other day and trim the excess off. He doesn't have a bum any more...

Remainder of the pork steak and onions with two carrots made into chips for dinner. One slice of pressed beef folded into a slice of bread for tea....

Steak pudding and [peas for dinner. I grilled some Lincolnshire sausage to get colour and then cooked them slowly on a bed of onions and when it was cooked mixed in a tin of beans. Had this as a filling on one medium slice of bread folded over for tea. Usual fruit and nuts for pudding.
