I finished reviewing Spooks last night. It was a BIG series! (Now for Shetland.)

Youtube is replacing TV for a lot of my entertainment. The daily walk around Puerto de la Cruz seems to have gone, but the Moscow chess club is still flourishing. The games are quick (six minutes) and all abilities are allowed to play. Very comradely.

Here's my daily 'fix' of Pinkamena - and this game must surely be a world record for difference in weight between opponents.

I do wish I could understand what they are saying. Chess

She's a force of nature. I thought she was losing this game, but she never gives up. She gets extra time when her opponent fails to spot he is in check, and makes an illegal move. The hand goes up in an instant.

Its difficult to follow the moves when viewing at an angle. Also its hard to judge just how far ahead they are thinking with blitz games.
I used to watch 'Agamator's' chess channel but I haven't bothered since the Buffoon became more entertaining. :laugh5:
Try this one as an example. Magnus Carlson

Yes - I've seen that guy a few times. He's very good.

Actually I like the actual board better than the demo board.

I'm useless at the game , but find it interesting. I like the fact that some of the Moscow club players are not top class either. Range from Grand Master to Patzer. I almost feel I'm a virtual member now.

Started watching the Bosch tv series on Amazon, I've read a few of Michael Connelly's books and so far the series is a good rendition.

The Tourist last night was excellent, it certainly keeps the concentration, think there’s just two more left, might just have to watch those on catch up.

I finished catching up on Shetland Gloria, tonight I think I'll start on the Tourist.

I watched the first two episodes of The Tourist. First impressions are that it's a cross between Spielberg's 'Duel' and 'Twin Peaks'!

Stick with it Stanley, we’ve yet to watch the last two, but can’t wait.

It's well worth watching Gloria :good:

I did two more episodes and am still getting echoes of Twin Peaks with a touch of 'No Country for Old Men'.
I shall persist...

Think you’ve caught us up now Stanley with The Tourist. We watched second part of The Responder, got a bit easier to watch, but I’m afraid I could take it or leave it, far too shouty and violent before bed time.

I finished The Tourist last night. What a crap ending! My mother was right, the endings are far better in B&W!

We haven’t watched the last two of the Tourist, we watched the third one of The Responder, and I’m still finding it difficult to watch, and tell what they are saying as well.

Watching Formula E racing on ch4 and trying to grasp what's going on. Weird!!

I've never watched it Wendy. Perhaps I should give it a go!

It's the first time I've watched it Stanley and I couldn't quite grasp what was going on! The cars are quite narrow, all based on the same chassis with what look to be normal wheels and tyres but I'm sure they aren't! They move at quite a speed, get a 4 minute power boost twice in the race, and are robust enough to be able to make contact without falling to bits. They make a strange squealing noise which is uncomfortable on the ears but I'm sure it's the future of the sport.
Have a look!

The Extreme E series looks more exciting, they race off road in extreme conditions around the world but there aren't many races because they make the journey by boat with a minimal team. Jenson Button, Nico Rosberg and Louis Hamilton all have teams.
