Watched the end of The Tourist, not sure what to think about that, maybe left slightly open for another series, certainly not run of the mill type of ending.

I reckon Martin Freeman should get an award for his portrayal in The Responder of a man on the edge.

I read he spoke with a scouse accent for a year to prepare himslf for the role. That alone deserves an award.

Reminds me of Laurence Olivier's advice on Dustin Hoffman's immersion technique

“Well, I stayed up for three days and three nights.” Laurence Olivier then uttered this famous line, “Why don't you just try acting?”

I think he mentioned that on the radio interview I heard. :good:

The drama is a good representation of being described as "gritty"

Well - out of a sense of duty, I've watched about twenty minutes. Struggled to tell what most were saying. Is it me or is the sound poor? I know my hearing isn't 100%, but remember I worked in Liverpool for four years so I speak the language. Did it really take five hours to get to this stage?

Didn't really get what was going on, and fairly quickly decided that I didn't want such a crowd of repulsive shouty toe rags in my lounge.

On that judgment he, and the whole show are nailed on to get a BAFTA.

If you want a contrast - try '24 Hours in Police Custody'. I think that's a bit more true to life.

David, I started on it last night and came to exactly the same conclusion as you. Only difference is I didn't get 'gritty' but contrived. I can live without it...

I've just composed posted and then deleted a post about the WinterOlympic BBC TV coverage, and the associated elephant in the room.
I may return to the subject.

Instead take a look at this wonderful joyful incongruous video. Seems 'Jerusalema' is a world wide phenomenon which seems to have passed me by. No change there then.

Yes there are lots of video's on YouTube of Jerusalema and the dancers, strangely addictive to watch I find.

Yes indeed - me too.

I found most of those videos last night, but for me, none match the sheer innocent hilarious enjoyment of the nuns.

PS Just watched about twenty different versions, but none came close to the SOLI nuns. They're getting near to 5 million views.

Please do David!
As for the nuns and the dancing, I am with Cathy. Indeed, I don't believe any comment would be appropriate.

That was on my list once I've finished watching Bosch (on Amazon Prime). Is it not good?

Well, different strokes for different folks, innit. You may like it.
Personally I thought it lacked two things. Good acting and a decent plot but apart from that it was fine... :laugh5:

Binge watching Series 4 of The Sinner on Netflix, it's kept me interested. Another few episodes to go then it's back to Bosch on Prime.

I don't have, and probably never will have, either Netflix or Amazon. I've never 'binge watched' anything, and probably never will.

I don't possess a 'box set' of anything.

Not really sure why I wrote this. Perhaps I was feeling a bit left out . . . . :laugh5:

We finished off No Return, streamed three back to back last night. We only have Netflix because our Jack has it. Netflix are trying to stop folk sharing it to different households. If they succeed we won't have it. :extrawink:
