Have you caught up with the Bahrain Grand Prix yet Stanley?

Ye Wendy and I have to admit I laughed at the surprise result. I never liked Verstappen and that didn't improve by the way the last race last year was run.....

Me too! :laugh5:

One thing that struck me was the way they are writing Mercedes off because they have a problem with the new specification. That could be a big mistake and Verstappen's dismissive attitude could come back to bite him. (Did you here the way he raged against his engineer?)

Yes I did, he sounded like a spoilt child. Success has gone to his head!

Exactly what I thought Wendy, he has a permanently curled lip.
Red Bull might regret that 7 year contract, I have a funny feeling he will not stay the course, there's a bit of Rosberg about him.....

Peaky Blinders is taking some interesting turns.

I think I watched the last two episodes of Killing Eve last night. Not sure because the plot is so disjointed and arcane I have lost it completely!

Don’t tell what happens, we are trying to watch Killing Eve and Peaky Blinders each weekend.

I've been watching Peaky Blinders on a Monday morning before P gets up. It's not on her 'watch list' :-)

Nor mine Kev!
Gloria, does that mean there is more Killing Eve to come?

Killing Eve 4/8 last night Stanley, Peaky Blinders 5/6 tonight.
Peaky Blinders I can understand, Killing Eve I haven’t the foggiest what’s going on, but keep watching hoping it will all fall into place.

We've been binge watching Ozark on Netflix. Interesting storyline, we're certainly hooked so far.

Anyone watched Kate and Koji with Brenda Blethyn? Second series started recently. It's actually quite amusing. I think the material is wearing a little bit thin now though, and I hope they don't go on too long and spoil it. She's 76 years old (yes really) and getting a bit less than convincing as a Geordie copper in Vera. Nice to see Barbara Flynn still going strong too. Fondly remembered from The Beiderbecke Affair in the mid 1980's. I can't imagine how it got past the commissioning editors since it appeals to me. That should have been enough to rule out any new prgramme.

Tripps we enjoy Kate and Koji too.
Radio not TV, I'm just beginning to catch up with The Poet Laureate has gone to his Shed featuring the wonderful Simon Armitage and a guest.

This Time Team 'aftershow review' is an interesting watch, giving an insight into the making of the programme and how valued the director, Emily Boulting, is for her work in pulling everything together. Emily is the niece of a good friend of mine so I'm allowed to feel proud of her. She is also a great niece of the Boulting Brothers and sister of Ned, who commentates on the major cycle races on TV.
Good to see that Mick Aston is not forgotten.

Watched Killing Eve last night, it’s becoming a bit more understandable thank goodness.
The last ever Peaky Blinders tonight, that has not been getting good reviews.

Peaky Blinders. Just happened to poke my head in the TV room in time to see someone waving a revolver at someone's head. If this is entertainment include me out.

I have never taken to the series Ken.
If the producers are looking for a new idea will someone point them at a book called 'No Mean City'. No Mean City is a 1935 novel by H. Kingsley Long, a journalist, and Alexander McArthur, an unemployed worker. It is an account of life in the Gorbals, a run-down slum district of Glasgow with the hard men and the razor gangs. I originally heard about it from a bobby in Glasgow called Jock who looked after me on Clyde Street when I was on the tramp. He was in the force at the time and told me it was a truthful account.

Watched it last night, a good ending. Word is there's a film in the offing that continues the story.

Yes Kev, probably 2024. The film is supposed to be set during the Second World War.

We might binge the whole series again from the start.

There’s been a bit of uproar about the music not being played, it’s here for anyone who wants to singalong.
