Have you still got Hubby cooking for you Moh? How is the recovery going?
I had a cheese salad butty for dinner and beans and fried egg on one slice of toast for tea....
Today I shall be getting fed by Terry and Robert as we visit Jubilee Engine at Masson.....

Terry bought me breakfast at Buxton and dinner at Masson (Sausage casserole with veggies) and all I needed when I got home was half a fried egg butty.....

Two small ham salad butties for dinner and a treat for tea.... Steak pudding, peas and chips. Lovely but not slimming! Made it even worse by getting the munchies because I was feeling chilly and had a small butty with one sausage on it to fill up. (I know, lack of moral fibre!)

Maz will be delighted to hear that after a small ham salad butty for dinner I had spring cabbage and carrots with two thin slices of haslett for tea. I had a crust from my last loaf dying so treated myself to an illegal slice of toast, whey butter and Co-op dark coarse marmalade for a filler. Naughty but nice! Usual fruit for pudding of course and a therapeutic Israeli date....

Made Fillo pastry parcels filled with Spinach/Ricotta and Wild Alaskan Red Salmon. Served with Mash, Cauliflower and Baby Peas.
Will be using my Cabbage tomorrow, Stanley...
We continue with our "no bread" policy. Haven't bought bread since before Christmas.
Febby's weight loss seems to have stopped ( but I have seen him eating a few squares of Chocolate so he can't blame me!)

No Stanley - I am back on kitchen duty. Got the all clear at the hospital but it has not fully healed yet but I can get about again. Cod, new potatoes, garden peas & parsley sauce tonight.

Glad to hear that you are doing OK Moh.

This cauliflower grew very quickly in the poly tunnel, so we had a pasta, tuna & cauliflower bake tonight served with spring cabbage.

Gas? Tell me about it..... Cauliflower, carrots and two chopped wild boar sausages for dinner. Last two sausages in a salad butty for tea.
07:20. Ready for the shed after chucking together a powerful Tomato, Onion, diced bacon and garlic sauce with all the usual spices in spades.... It's going to simmer down all morning and will be the basis of today's grub. Lovely smell already!

Last of this year’s asparagus from the farm down the road. Eaten four bunches each a week for the past 6/7 weeks. That’s it now, we’ll eat no more ‘till next year.

Steam on lens..... I popped this up to illustrate my favourite way of dealing with Garlic. (I hate the fiddly job of extracting the cloves!) Just cut the bulb in two and float on the top. After about half an hour you can fish the halves out and simply squeeze the half cloves out of their skins, dead easy....
The sauce was a success but powerful! So I tipped a tin of baked beans in to bring it down a bit and had it with boiled Basmati rice (well out of date Maz.....) for dinner and tea. Very, very good!

Is it "give Maz the heeby geebies" day? It worked. I am now in a full body tremor and my eyes have rolled back in my head.

Speaking of Garlic, we went to a lovely home decorator shop the other day...walked six steps in the door and were hit by a wall of exhaled garlic from the staff...and walked out again. I find it so offensive, I cannot tolerate even being in the same aisle of the supermarket as someone reeking of it.
My son loves it ( I can't believe he is mine!) and tortures me by wanting to hug me close and breathe on me. It makes my skin crawl when he does that, which just adds to his sadistic pleasure.

I do wish I knew the secret of having steak pudding and chips for tea, and still losing weight. :smile: I suppose the dog walking has something to do with it.

One steak pudding, very few chips and hardly anything for the other meal of the day.
Having said that I ate too much yesterday. Two small ham salad butties for dinner and then 4 butties for tea, got the munchies and cracked. I shall do better today! (They were very small butties but even so.....
