Nye Bevan had the answer, we should have control of the commanding heights of the economy and that doesn't mean nationalisation, there are other ways to do it.

An even bigger joke is Exxon's profit for the same quarter, $17.6 billion, twice that of BP and up by 273% on the same period last year.

Meanwhile the poorest in society are drowning in debt and nobody is doing anything meaningful about it. We need government subsidies for food banks, a general increase in benefits to make up for the £20 a week that Sunak clawed back and compulsory stays in poor households for key politicians. People are slowly dying of deprivation and stress out there and they haven't got a voice.

I'm afraid all my music when I was young is even older than that. It is too ancient to be considered for the 'Oldies' station Cathy.....
