Last nights viewing included the Syndicate, this was the last episode, British tv at its best and containing all human frailties, from tears to laughter, well cast and better performed.

Watched the first episode of 'The Politician's Husband' on BBC2 last might. A bleak picture of the Westminster Bubble. Is it really as bad as this?

Still enjoying me snooker. What a good job it's on BBC. Just imagine how catastrophic advertising breaks would be if it was on commercial TV!

It can happen on Auntie Beeb as well Stanley. I well remember back in 1980 having watched the entire series (I think it was Pot Black then) and being glued to the final frame in it's closing stages, I think down to a pink and black decider when all channels cut to live coverage of the SAS storming the Iranian Embassy. I have never screamed as loud at a TV since!

Started to watch 'The Politician's Husband' last night but immediately got fed up with the angst and back-biting so I turned over the 'The Repo Man' on ITV and quite enjoyed an everyday story of beliff folk. Uncomplicated, a window on life and a good watch with some quirky bits.

The last episode of Endeavour was a good one. I haope they do another series. Constables Strange and Morse are taking their sergeant's examination and we got an explanation of Morse's limp!
A bonus was that I turned over to the snooker and just caught the end of the final frame of the session. A black ball game and some wonderful snooker.

Yes, but they have given Endeavour a limp caused by a gunshot wound so it'll match the Morse series....

Snooker lovers had a treat last night. Wonderful final and Hawkins has nothing to be ashamed of. O'Sullivan on that form is unbeatable. Anyone noticed how that bloke Jason always manages to cut into commentating time, Motor-mouth, and mainly clichés!

Watched the programme on BBC2 about the Sheffield tragedy and the subsequent cover-up. Good clear case laid out and a valuable reminder to us all that this should be kept at the top of the list of things to do. Surely there can't be another 'sweeping under the carpet'? Or can there......

Just caught the end of one of my favourite films "I'm alright Jack" with Peter Sellers. On BBC2 so no annoying ads. Contains memorable quote - from the admirer of the USSR Fred KIte - "All them cornfields, and ballet in the evening"

I was going to record it but had no room on the disc. Watched a good programme on Anne Boleyn last night on BBC2, tonight will be even better, Diarmid MacCulloch on Thomas Cromwell.

Superb programme on BBC2 last night on Thomas Cromwell. Diarmid MacCulloch was great. He produced the evidence and gave an unequivocal judgement on Cromwell. Many historians would argue against his assessment of course but I'm afraid they would be on a sticky wicket. More TV like this please.....

By chance I caught the last of the 'Pickersgill Report' on Radio 4 yesterday morning. Brilliant! Why have I missed this until now? Do yourselves a favour and look for it on listen again. 30 minutes sheer entertainment and so well done!

The BBC2 programme on the Iraq War (1 of 3). Clear, well researched and some facts I didn't know but nothing to alter my opposition to the incursion in the first place.
Another Tudor programme on BBC2 tonight.... Goody!

I enjoyed Melvin Bragg's programme on Tyndale last night on BBC2. Accurate, interesting and timely. Well worth catching on I-player if you missed it.

Watched it in part and then recorded rest as was falling asleep. Even Cath took an interest as she'd heard Mel talking about Tyndale on the Hay Sessions. Nolic

Watched the last episode last night, impressed. Also watched the Panorama Programme on blacklisting. A very disturbing insight into a very old problem.
