Yesterday afternoon was dry but bitter cold. At 20:00 it was breezy, overcast and cold. During the night there have been flashes from distant lightning. This morning it's wet and cold, still a light breeze. The glass is up on 1011mb. The forecast is for the rain/sleet to cease and we shall have a dry day of sunny intervals. The mainly WNW wind is moderate and ends up in the west later. The high is 6C, the low is 2C and we have a -5C chill at the moment but that will drop as the day goes on. The outlook is for similar weather to today, mainly dry but a wet day on Monday.

I had a very pleasant sit on the bench for almost twenty minutes. I was out of the wind and the sun was quite warm.

Yesterday afternoon stayed dry and pleasant. At 20:00 we had a light breeze, it was cold and dry and we had a clear sky. It was the same this morning and hasn't changed. The glass is down on 1020mb. The forecast is for wall to wall sun all day. The SE wind is moderate and constant giving a high of 8C, a low of 4C and a -3C wind chill.
Look for a rainy day tomorrow and then mild unsettled weather for the rest of the week.

Patchy cloud and currently 20 degrees in Lanzarote, we had rain earlier but that has dried up now. Full sun is expected after lunch so I will be wearing a hat 😎

Glad you are enjoying your holiday Kevin ☀️

We are at the end of our Summer, on paper anyway, and our temps are coming down.

Cathy, you'll still be warmer than our summer when you are in winter!
Yesterday was clear and sunny all day, good walk and a pleasant sit on the bench. At 20:00 it was cool, breezy and some overcast but dry. Same first thing this morning and no change yet, still dry. The glass is down on 1015mb. The forecast is simple, rain all day. The wind starts moderate in the S gusting to 30mph. It eases all day and ends up tonight in the NW. We have a high of 8C, a low of 1C and a -4C wind chill. The outlook is for similar temperatures but less rain.

Parts of our garden still a NO Go zone under threat of the remainder of next doors beech tree being blown down. At over 60 ft high its still a danger to us as the previous bit showed. So far they have had three firms have a look at it with the general consensus that its going to need a high lift crane. The underlying problem is that there is no access to that part of the garden. £3000 is being quoted , Not covered by insurance since it hasn't fallen down.
Keep calm is the hope.

That's not good Ken! I think we need a good blow to bring it down so you don't get bogged down in health and safety fuelled prices. Is the charge against your neighbour?

If the tree hit our property and causes further damage we are covered. If it falls and hits their chalet they would be looking at £20000+ but then come the argument with their insurance that they should have taken it down since they knew it was dangerous, Catch 22.

Not a good situation. It needs to fall safely during the night and just be a firewood job. I'm glad I haven't got the problem.
Yesterday was cold and wet all day. At 20:00 it had stopped raining, the wind had dropped and it was cold and overcast. First thing this morning it was the same but misty and hasn't changed since. The glass is up on 1025mb and rising. The forecast is wall to wall sun all day. The wind starts light in the NW but soon strengthens to a moderate Easterly giving a high of 7C, a low of 3C and a -4C chill later. The outlook is for similar temperatures but dull and perhaps showery.
05:00. The mist has lifted and the sky is clearing.

Yesterday was lovely. At 20:00 wed had a light breeze, it was dry and clear. This morning we have the same light wind and it is misty. The glass is down on 1020mb. The forecast is for a misty start then light rain. The easterly wind will be moderate and give a high of 5C and a low of 4C with a -5C chill. The outlook is for slightly milder but overcast weather. We are into March and meteorological Spring. With a bit of luck we have reached the end of a very mild winter..... Let's look forward to some good weather.

Funny that you say you have had a mild winter, here in Adelaide they are saying that we had a mild summer. I wouldn’t quite say mild, but milder for sure. Not as many heatwaves this time and I didn’t have to put on the air-con as much as a normal summer.

Snap Gloria. I think we have all got the same weather in the North.....
Very gloomy here at the moment.
Just seen your post Cathy. NSW is making up for that quiet spell at the moment. Sydney is expecting floods.....

Yes, it’s all over the news, has been for days of course. Either the floods or the war. 🙁
The water is slowly making it’s way down the coast... it’s quite eerie to watch.

Yesterday was dull and damp all day. Too depressing to attract me out for a walk and definitely not a day for bookie watch! Last night at 20:00 it wasn't actually raining but still overcast and wet. This morning first thing we had light rain, I've had a look out and the rain has stopped but it's still cold and damp. The glass is down on 1010mb and the forecast is exciting.... cold and damp and changing to light rain around noon. The ESE wind is light to moderate and gives us a high of 7C and a low of 5C with a -3C chill at most. The outlook is for similar weather but lighter overcast and dryer.

I'm just back in after a walk and some veggie shopping. It wasn't raining, just damp and gloomy and seeing as there was no wind to speak of I had a sit opposite the bookies but after about ten minutes the forecast kicked in and we got very fine wetting rain. That did it, I am back in the house and will cook some green leafy veggies..... :biggrin2:

The gloom and light rain won yesterday, at 20:00 it was calm and still raining. Same this morning and the forecast is for it to rain until midday and then (surprise surprise) overcast for the rest of the day. The glass is up a touch on 1015mb. The constant NW wind is light and gives a high of 6C and a low of 2C with a chill of -4C at the moment but easing a bit as the day passes. The outlook is for similar weather but dryer and we are promised sunshine on Tuesday and Wednesday.
