Oh, a £400+ hair dryer from the Snake Oil Salesman! Pity folk are still duped into paying stupid prices for pseudo technology. Its a heater and a fan at the end of the day, other well established brands are available at around the £15 to £30 mark which do the same job. Stupid is as stupid does as Forest would say.

Suitably risen to the bait. :extrawink:

Don't need to watch the video David. Recently took a dead Dyson vac to the skip. Council bloke that took it of our hands said "I'll shove it with all the other dead Dysons". Nuff said. :laugh5:

Oh and I have to say, it wasn't mine. :good:

So it was Stanley.

I was bit a bit brain muddled yesterday, with the site dropouts you had to do speed reading and replies. :extrawink:

This is fascinating - we don't usually see much of Georgia (the country not the US state!)...

Had enough of politics? I have. I don't think I can stand much more of this ridiculous campaigning. We might have needed six weeks for the process in earlier times, but surely not in the internet era. A fortnight would be plenty.

I'm watching a lot of Youtube, and have become a bit of a fan of these two likeable people. Their videos are well filmed and cleverly produced, and I've been to a lot of the places they go to. Their recent visit to Bury market was good, and is worth digging out. This tour of Richmond in N.Yorkshire I'd say is very good. I have known the town well, over a very long period of time - from Catterick Garrison in the 1960's and 70's, a radio monitoring research project in the 1980's, and leisure visits more recently. I've even taken the family to the Bishop Blaize for lunch.

Ignore nearly everything the politicians say - and watch this instead would be my advice.

Thank you! It takes a while to change direction doesn't it? I would love to see her passing Ardnamurchan Point.

This raised my spirits a bit. There's hope for the town yet. Forget all the contrived BS of Britain's (sic) Got Talent - there's a lot of talent on show here. Skip to the end - they're still playing and marching in the dark -with head torches.

I like a band me. . . .

I liked that David and I agree with you, a lot of talent there!
Funnily enough I had to look Grotton up, I knew about next door Uppermill and Scouthead but if I ever knew Grotton I had forgotten. :good:

Bless you for replying. We must be kindred spirits. I knew where Grotton was - between Lees County End and Lydgate - but I'd certainly have googled it if I didn't.

This is world class brass musicianship. look at 49 mins and see Fulham Brass Band.

Changed my perception of Fulham I must say. We''ll have to declare them honorary Northerners.

I saw that video on Youtube yesterday. Your post of the Grotton and Scouthead video has triggered a brass band theme!

I tripped over this video about Rolls Royce today. In view of the demolition it seems topical...

Some interesting numbers there. The GDP figure, and the number of employees amazed me.

Now Google fed me some news about Bob Dylan (how on earth do they know ?). They say that a big influence on him - as well as Woody Guthrie of course, was Odetta. Him and me both ! Sadly - she's gone on The Ghost Train of Freak Mountain now. That took me to this remarkable vintage concert from Belgium. It was only sixty years ago. Isn't the interwebthingy wonderful?
What a lovely lady. in her prime.

You're dead right there Stanley especially from an initial right wing Tory Speaker of the House. He has mellowed somewhat for the better.

I always liked Bercow..... I thought it was very dodgy when he was ousted by his Party.

According to Farage who speaking in Parliament after Lindsey re election called his predecessor an odious short man or words to that effect he was jeered of course. I would take Bercow any day over the gob on a stick that Farage is.

Couldn't agree more Ian about Farage.... He may find that he has made a big mistake standing for Parliament..... I think they will bury him. Too much bad blood in the Tories against the damage that Reform did. Not that their absence would have made a lot of difference to the end result.......
