I've been for a walk and bookie watch.... You could swear there were spots of rain on the wind but it couldn't be called rain.

Yesterday afternoon continued dry but cloudy and at 20:00 we had heavy overcast and red sky in the west. This morning first thing we had significant rain but since then it has stopped. The glass is up on 1015mb and the forecast is for a dry day, cloudy until early afternoon but then the cloud breaks to give a sunny evening. The westerly wind is light to moderate giving a high of 19C and a low of 10C tonight with perhaps a -2C chill at times. The outlook is very stable, exactly this sort of weather for the next week. We must be still lacking a jet stream to give us any changes.....

I've had a walk into Town Square and did a bit of veggie shopping to take some of the weight off tomorrow morning's weekly shop at the Co-op.
It's overcast, calm and mild, boring weather but very kind to us.

Yesterday afternoon we got the sunny spells but by 20:00 we were back into heavy overcast. First thing this morning it was calm, dry and light overcast. It hasn't changed since. The glass is steady on 1015mb. The forecast is boring, another dry cloudy day. The wind is very light and swings round every point of the compass giving a high of 19C and a low of 13C with negligible wind chill. The outlook is for similar boring weather for the next six days. We seem to be stuck in a boring pattern, it needs a wind to change it.

We don't seem to have any weather at the moment. Today is a rerun of yesterday and the barometer hasn't moved. The forecast is exactly the same, cloudy with perhaps sunny spells later and there is a chance of the odd light shower in the early afternoon. Once more the wind is light and variable giving a high of 20C and a low of 11C with negligible wind chill. The outlook is for another six days of similar weather. We need the jet stream to re-establish itself and bring us some Atlantic Weather!

Yes Wendy and I can understand why but it's not normal weather and so we will pay for it in some way. At the moment part of that cost is minimal output from wind farms.

Yesterday was another quiet fine day and today promises exactly the same. At 20:00 last night it was calm, mild and overcast. This morning it is calm, mild and we have a clear sky at the moment but showing signs of clouding over. The glass is up slightly at 1018mb. The forecast is for an overcast but dry day. The easterly wind is very light and gives a high of 20C and a low of 14C with negligible wind chill. The 6 day forecast shows no change. More Wendy weather!

Back to rain for Monday then the week looks lovely again.

Bulb type flowers are blooming . All looking good. 😊

Your coming out of it Cathy. We are on the verge of sinking into Autumn and the heating season. Deep Joy! But today I have had my walk and a sit in the sun, very pleasant. as for the rest, sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

They did a good job on you at that Sunday School in Stockport.

The wording comes from the King James Version and the full verse reads:

"Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."

I think I'm still allowed to think for myself, and with the limited resources available, it sounds like fatalistic nonsense to me . . . :laugh5:

They definitely did David and yes, I favour the King James Version. I can see the point of it David. My dad's version was "Don't pee before your water comes".
Yesterday was a nice day that ended at 20:00 with heavy cloud. First thing this morning it was calm, dry and overcast. The glass is up slightly at 1021mb. The forecast is sunny intervals this morning and cloudier in the afternoon but dry. The light to moderate easterly wind gives us a high of 18C, a low of 11C tonight and as much as -3C chill this afternoon when the wind can get into the NE. As is usual these days, the outlook is for similar weather for the next six days.

Yesterday was cloudier and cooler, at 20:00 it was 100% overcast. This morning it was calm, mild and overcast. The glass is up slightly on 1023mb and still rising. The forecast gives a dry day and some sun later this morning and this evening. The NE wind is light to moderate and gives us a high of 18C a low of 9C and as much as -3C wind chill this afternoon. The outlook is still for another week of similar weather.

Yesterday was cloudy but pleasantly warm until that NE wind got to you! At 20:00 it was clear but too late for any sun, the days are drawing in now. This morning it's calm, cool and dry with a sky that is clouding over. The glass is up slightly on 1025mb. The forecast is for overcast but more chance of sun this afternoon. The constant easterly wind becomes moderate and gives a high of 20C and a low of 10C tonight. The chill will be -3C this afternoon when the wind is in the NE. The six day outlook is for slightly brighter weather but otherwise very similar conditions.

Yesterday was overcast and there was light rain on the wind at times. At 20:00 it was heavily overcast and going dark early. First thing this morning it was calm, cool and clear, there has been no change since. The glass is down on 1022mb and still falling. The forecast is for a dry day with lots of sunny intervals. The easterly wind is moderate and gives a high of 20C and a low tonight of 12C with a -3C chill at times. The 6 day outlook is for similar weather but perhaps brighter.

Yesterday was a repeat of the day before. A bit chilly in the wind in the afternoon. At 20:00 it was overcast . First thing this morning we had a bit of breeze, a clear sky with scattered cloud and it was cool. Still the same, no change. The glass is down on 1015mb and falling. The forecast is for a dry day with sunny intervals. The constant easterly wind is moderate and give us a high of 21C and a low of 15C with a -3C chill at times. The outlook has become changeable with more wind, cloud and rain but the temperature is surprisingly high, about the same as today.

Yesterday afternoon was slightly sunnier but at 20:00 we were back to overcast. This morning there is evidence of a light shower in the night. It is cool, overcast and we have a light breeze. The glass is down again and is on 1005mb and falling. The forecast is for a dry but overcast day with rain in the evening. The mainly easterly wind is light giving a high of 21C and a low of 15C with perhaps a -2C chill at times. The outlook is for similar weather but perhaps brighter and more changeable.

The forecast is for a mixed day of showers, cloud and sun, take your pick! The constant SE wind is light to moderate giving a high of 21C and a low of 15C with a -2C wind chill. The 6 day outlook is for similar weather, no great change in prospect.

Lovely Spring day today, we still have cool to cold evenings and nights.
The week looks good and probably won’t rain as much as they have forecast.
