Might not be everyone's cup of tea but we're enjoying This Town on the BBC iPlayer. Some good music and a few sub plots. Up to episode 4 and it's developing well.

After all that - I watched Redeye tonight. Fast and furious - and and Scott / Bailey (?) is in it.
Must give it an award for the best plot line I've seen for a long time. I had to google to see if you were allowed to carry a cat on your lap as an aircraft passenger. I thought not - but amazingly, it seems you can.
Best not to let it eat someone else's packed lunch though.

It was a dog though wasn't it?

Oh dear. . . very possibly.
I was only partly paying attention, and it looked like a very hairy cat to me. I'm still amazed that any uncaged pet can be allowed on the aircraft though. My first thought was - where do they put the litter tray?

PS Just checked up and found this - it really is a 'box ticker' isn't it?
Good to find there is help available for those like me - not so quick on the uptake.

The action takes off when Nolan charitably gives his meat-free meal to the only other vegan on board who was left without... only for him to stagger to the loo and collapse. A dog on board (an emotional support dog, of course) then licks the meal tray and also dies.

The programme which followed Redeye is a travel thing thing with Martin Clunes. It's been on for two consecutive nights, and I like it. I Iike most things he is in except Doc Martin, who I feel should have been sectioned a long time ago. Last night he was in Micronesia. No me neither - but I should know, as my email address ends in, 'dot fm' which stands for 'federation micronesia'. I've spelled it out to people often enough.

He is a good guide with a genuine sense of wonderment and respect when he encounters something new and interesting. I recommend it.

Just watched The Great British Sex Scandal on Channel 5.
Lived through it of course - but had forgotten most of it. The behaviour of the main characters, Cecil Parkinson and Margaret Thatcher was deeply shocking. If any futher reasons never to vote Tory ever again are needed, (unlikely) I suggest you watch it. Who needs made up 'drama' The real thing is more compelling.

Binge watched the Shardlake adaptation on Disney+ over the last couple of evenings. Most enjoyable and, pretty much, close to the books.
