I think I have a vague memory of this.

Sounds an interesting cove. There's a copy on Abebooks for £15.

It seems he also wrote - "Economic and fact and fallacies", and "The curse of socialism".

I thought it would be flooded by people who said 'I have one of these in my tool box'. In my early apprentice days I was asked to make a dozen of these to hand round the factory. Somehow, don't ask me how, I finished up with 13 off. Hence the mystery object. NEXT PLEASE.

1) Dig 2" down on this patch 'E' (Excavate for Treacle mine excrement). Danger wear wellies at all times.
2) 1" of Gravel should be safe for normal Bitumen cover.

Stanley gets the bouquet for the most entertaining answer and Kev for being correct!

The picture signals the final chapter in Lockfield Drive's fracking saga; the gangs drilling for gas (or treacle as it may be...) are now digging the whole road up and installing a new pipe to suck all the gas away (under cover of pretending to install a new gas main).

Ah, we'll soon miss the smell of fresh gas wafting around as we walk by...
