Job done & boys back where they should be.
That's that first thing I did last night Liz, in the hope that I could do a quick repair. You can't always guarantee that it's off though, there are times when I have forgotten to switch it back on.....so when I think I'm turning it off I'm actually turning it on. I never trust it!
The worst thing to do is to accidentally touch the fence when you are also touching a horse....especially one that's standing in a wet field, you don't half feel a thump and the horse won't come near you again for ages!

The last experience I had with an electric fence was at Spandau Gaol in Berlin. There was an ordinary security fence on the outside then a heavy duty electrified fence between the safe one and the high wall of the gaol. Occasionally at night there would be a blue flash and usually there was a dead cat there in the morning. A bit too heavy duty for the animals!
Today I hope to get in the shed and then watch F1 at the old Ostereich Ring. Other matters have got under my feet for the last three days.....

Thanks Cathy.

Leaving for the airport at 2:15pm with 4 x 23kg suitcases + 2 carry-ons. Don't know how we'll manage. We're going to see our daughter in Los Angeles who left us two and half years ago, and most of the luggage is her belongings that we are taking to her. There will be tears tomorrow...

One funny thing is, we leave China at 9:30pm CST at night and get to LA at 7:30 pm PDT the same day having crossed the International Date Line. Never done time travel before!

Back in 10 weeks.

Cycling over to Clarion House at Newchurch, its Fun Day and barbecue today, sods law in play here I think! We will go the scenic route avoiding the rat run roads which are not good on a bike. Canal corridor to Foulridge, Reedymoor Lane round the back of the reservoir, over the bridle path and up Slipper Hill past Old Ebby's, bit of a dog leg over to the Cross Gaits and Blacko. Down Blacko Bar and up Ginny Lane at the other end to Clarion House. Clarion will probably be busy despite the grey weather, games on the field might be out though.

Enjoying myself in a very warm shed! The shed isn't as well built as the house and despite a good insulation layer in the roof it gets warmer than the house. Never mind, I'm glad I have this interest, far better than vegetating in the rocking chair....
