I bumped into that a few weeks ago - and to my surprise - carried on watching it. I've not seen any further episodes though, and it's interesting to see you recommend it.
I think it's a copy of an originally French series.

We're up to episode 6 now, it's good to see the characters develop. I wasn't aware of the 'French connection'.

Watched episodes 7 and 8 last night of the current Silent Witness, it is excellent. We spoke not one word the whole two hours, that’s how much it kept our attention. Cannot speak highly enough of it.

We watched this Steve Coogan dramatisation of the famous interview between Brian Walden and Margaret Thatcher in 1989.
After watching the 2 part program we followed up by watching the actual 1989 interview.

Watched the final Out There, they’ve obviously left it open for another series. If it wasn’t for Martin Clunes we’d have given up on it.

I'm watching the USA Superbowl final. Mainly to make me thankful that despite its drawbacks Rugby Union beats it easily.
Noticed no one "took the knee". Seems to be out of fashion at last. Then again president Trump is there, and probably has his little notebook at the ready.

Is Rugby Union still the preserve of gentlemen as opposed to the working classes playing Rugby League?

Half watching BBC Question Time. Fiona has reminded us coming to Skipton on Feb 6th . Contact the show (I think via website) if you want to go and have question to ask (I would suggest the Skipton-Colne Railway but hopefully others are going to promote that)

And so a 50year old snippet of Barnoldswick History appears at about 0840 Friday 28th Feb on the BBC One. Daniel Meadows views of the area , people and places of the Town and other places "up north". Stanley gets his interview too. I assume a lot lost in the edit and really a lot of context lost , only reading the memories and history here can the Stanley's and Barnoldswick Folk's tale be fully told , they are separate things but became intertwined as people and places weaved literally together. Maybe Stanley played the "simple from up north , card" (good grief is no one aware of the science work at University of Manchester over 200 years ! ), but also content to let the story of others come through - a world - and people - that no longer exist. No qualification / certification ever became needed for driving a static steam engine (and on the Railways the learn by example completion of "competences" method is used) yet the control of explosive power was a critical skill. Perhaps a photo - not of Daniel's --
of Stanley's last rig before he joined Bancroft might have been used. Daniel made of stronger stuff than me though for climbing those chimneys.
Maybe the producer/presenter has noticed the potential for a longer presentation - maybe just in voice over of some of the tales and photo archive covering some of the people and places.

I'm guessing Sally didn't get an invite to Question Time? I don't watch it myself. Too predictable.

I usually watch this amusing summary of the show every week. Question Time review
