Something for those people who walk round Barlick with their heads in the air. A rainwater collector. But where?

Corner of the row containing Gotts Garage. Gisburn Road.

Google streetview is a wonderful tool. I hadn't a clue where it was, but I thought it had to be high profile on one of the main streets, and Barlick isn't that big a place.....

Well what can I say. You certainly know your way around Google street view. An interesting feature of this street view is if you use Pluggy's picture and click the 'minus' to reduce the magnification and them follow the double chevrons you will finish up in the florists shop.
Next please.

Try this one. Very well made with a good finish, box joint and more adjustments than you could poke a stick at.

I think you are both in the right area but not quite there. Think leather and let's see if anyone comes up with a more definitive solution·

Lovely inventive answers and any one of them could be near the truth. I have to come clean and say that I have always wondered what it is for. The nearest I can get is that is that it is for impressing a pattern of dimples in leather for decoration. My reason is the multiplicity of adjustments for depth. Whatever it is it's beautifully made.....
Next one?

I'm afraid its another one of 'Where is it?' Two adjacent Barlick streets that both received the 'Best Street' award. Just visible on Google Street View. For those who don't know where they are now is a good time to look round Barlick.

Thanks Pluggy. I was due to work my way up the Manchester Rd area but I must admit I didn't make the plaque out on street view until you pointed it out.
I was half hoping that David would give me a full list of all the awards.
