I boiled the carrots with the cauliflower steamed on top. Added the carrots to the slow cooker and for dinner had cauliflower, meat pie and topped off with some of the contents of the slow cooker. Tea was more cauliflower with the sausage stew on top.

It was Liz, it turned out very well. It's a Greek peasants dish and is normally made with Lamb on the bone. Potatoes and tomatoes are in the base but you can chuck other veg in as well, often and odd carrot. It's the Oregano that sets it off. You have to cook it in a sealed pot, long and slow, traditionally done in an earth oven by the shepherds. I did go for the Feta, just a few cubes add a slightly salty kick. All it lacked was a Mythos beer to go with it, three weeks and it will happen.

Dinner and tea were the last of the sausage stew. Both small bowls so I had half a custard for pudding at both meals. Fruit of course for pudding. There are some lovely peaches in Chawdreys at the moment, 3 for a Pound.

A small bowl of the stew I froze for dinner and tea. I extended it slightly by splitting a small tin of mushy peas between them and had a peach for pudding after both meals. I want to get the frozen stew finished so the last two bowls are in the fridge slowly defrosting. It's one of the problems associated with living on your own and enjoying cooking!

Pizza for dinner, Susan pinched two slices! Last of the bacon rib stew for tea plus some peas. Only one small helping of frozen stew to go and then I am up to date.

Dinner was the last of the pork in cider stew augmented with some peas. Tea was a bit different. I treated myself to a pair of Isle of Man kippers from the market and after deboning them had them with a fried egg with a large custard to follow. Fruit for pudding.....

Cornish pasty and a tin of mushy peas for dinner. Tea was the same but with a meat pie and pickled onions.

New potatoes, peas and a steak pudding for dinner. Tea was the same but with a meat pie. I had a roll mop herring later just because I fancied it!
Taking notice of Wendy I am eating a lot less bread and only the occasional potato or two to keep the carbs down. What bread I do have is the sliced Borgen seeded bread which I keep in the freezer and toast slices as I need them. I shall still bake my own loaf occasionally because I like it!

Not a lot Wendy, but far less than before! Yesterday I defrosted a bunch of mutton and slow cooked it all day. By teatime I had a protein rich stew with just a few peas in it. I had two small Borgen butties for dinner with a roll mop herring on each. For tea I had a bowl of the meat stew. I have added a tin of chopped tomatoes and a tin of mushy peas to it this morning to augment and thicken it.....

I beefed the stew up a bit more with a tin of baked beans and one of concentrated tomato paste. I had the stew for dinner and tea and the other three small bowls are in the fridge. I'm fancying bacon ribs for tea.....

I had the bacon ribs for dinner but had a bot of a disaster. I dropped a large piece as I was gnawing away on them sat in my rocking chair and Jack was in like a flash! I was still hungry as a consequence, not a lot of meat on ribs so I had half a bowl of muesli to hold body and soul together. I was going to have stew for tea but my life was upscuttled by some bad news and I temporally lost my appetite. It returned later so I had a pizza.

Understandably food is not top of my agenda at the moment but I know I have to keep things as near normal as possible so I had a small bowl of the stew for dinner and tea and for afters at teatime I had one small Borgen butty with peanut butter and Stilton.

Had the last of the stew for dinner. No interest in cooking for tea. I just had a Soreen malt loaf with whey butter on it and a couple of peaches.....

Picked the meat off half a cooked chicken for dinner. Did some veggie shopping. Made a stew with Steak and Kidney onion, tomato, peas, carrots and the usual seasonings. Made chips for tea and had stew on top of them (Sorry Wendy but I need comfort food!). Kath was naughty and gave me some Pork Liver Pate with Duck and orange that was on sell-by date. Had a couple of toasted Borgen butties with pate to fill a corner.....

Had the same for dinner and tea, a meat pie topped with the steak and kidney stew. Minimal carbs Wendy! Finished the pate off after tea with a Borgen toasted butty....

Used the stew as easy feeding for dinner and tea. Stilton on crackers for a fill up after tea. Can't be arsed with food at the moment.....

Not good enough Stanley, with your two meals a day regime and your present situation you can't afford not to be eating. I know exactly what you mean but you will be no good to man nor beast if you go keeling over again. Get the pan out and cook something, it will do you good.

Lecture over.

Comfort eating Maz, excessive I'll agree!
Yesterday I split the last bowl of stew in two and had half for dinner and the rest for tea. After tea I had that old and much derided favourite, Avocado with prawns and mayonnaise. I don't care what the foodies say it is still a nice combination. The avocados were ripe so the Co-op dropped the price!
