Thank you for that. I shall have the other one for dinner and nothing else! Have boiled a hock in cider, de-boned and de-fatted it and it's sat in the fridge..... I think tea is taken care of!

I got some carrots yesterday and cooked them in the de-fatted cider stock from cooking the hock. I added two tins of mushy peas to thicken it and half the ham chopped up. Dinner was an Avocado and the rest of the prawns and mayonnaise. Tea was a small bowl of the carrots and peas and I finished a packet of nut based crackers off with peanut butter and crab apple jelly that Vicky brought for me the other day.

I had one potato floating around so chipped it and divided them between two very small bowls of the carrot and pea with ham. One for dinner and one for tea. Slice of pineapple for pudding at dinner and Eccles cakes after tea, I need comfort food!

Chicken, onions, red pepper, olives & capers fried in butter with a cream sauce... plus cauliflower & broccoli. Still cooking on the single halogen hob with a table top grill which gets used to keep stuff warm.

It doesn't look as though you are starving.... God speed the restoration of heat!
Finished the ham soup for dinner. For tea I made a large Spanish Omelette with Wendy's Onions and eggs plus ripe tomatoes. Had half and put the other half in the fridge for today. Finished the pineapple for pudding and later treated myself to a toasted current teacake with peanut butter and Vicky's crab apple jelly.

Have you got heat back yet Wendy?
Yesterday I had the second half of the Spanish Omelette for dinner. During the day I slow cooked brisket on a bed of onions and garlic (Sorry Maz!). The meat was done by teatime and taken out, wrapped in foil and put in the fridge. I had boiled some carrots so I put them in and lifted the gravy off to separate the fat in the fridge overnight. (I've put the stock back in and switched the slow cooker on, later I'll add chopped beef) As the stew wasn't ready I got a pizza from the Co-op and had that for tea followed by a toasted current teacake with crab apple jelly and peanut butter. Today is going to be beef stew!

Roll on Wendy!
Had two small Borgen butties with cold brisket and Branston Pickle for dinner. I got an apple pie in the morning, quarter of it for pudding after dinner. For tea I had the rest of the pie and a very small helping of the beef stew left over after freezing three bowls and putting one in the fridge for today.

I had some bacon that was asking to be used so I grilled the lot and for both dinner and tea I had small bacon butties on toasted Borgen with Wendy's sweet little tomatoes. Twice as much bacon on the teatime butties to finish it off and a peanut butter and crab apple jelly butty for afters.

That was a favourite of my mother Moh....
I had a terrible dinner, exactly what I shouldn't eat.... 4 small puff pastries with mince in them and a peach for pudding. Had the beef stew out of the fridge for tea.

Did better yesterday. I boiled up carrots and spuds (sorry Wendy!) and mashed them with Mayonnaise. Had a small bowl of that for dinner and a peach, it was lovely. Had the remainder for tea augmented with peas and two fried eggs.

Pie and peas for dinner and a third of the steak and kidney with kidney beans and pearl barley for tea. I chipped a spud that was going green and topped the bowl up with them. For afters I had fruit and a peanut butter and hedgerow jam butty courtesy of Ian's Sally. BTW, I chopped the last of Wendy's tomatoes and added them to the steak and kidney.

Rolled brisket slow cooked with onions, carrot and a bit of swede from the garden. Steamed cauliflower, broccoli and cabbage. I tried thickening the gravy with chia seeds instead of flour and it worked very well.
I'm going to try soaking some chia seeds in milk overnight for a low carb breakfast.

Liz, the label says Blackberry, ? and sloe.
I split the remainder of the steak and kidney, added canned new potatoes and mushy peas to bulk it up and had a bowl for dinner and tea.

Anything that is in season at the time. The jar that Stanley got was Blackberry, Pear and Sloe. Sally has made other variants as fruits become available. Blackberry, Bilberry, Pear, Sloe, Plumb, Crab Apple, anything can be used really. We forage the Blackberries and Sloes from the green lanes around town, Bilberries from up on the heather moor, pears from our front garden tree and crab apples and plumbs from friends.

Good traditional grub Moh....How are you these days?
I did a boiling of carrots and used it to extend a small bowl of the frozen steak and kidney to make both dinner and tea. I shall be doing the same today.
