It was hot yesterday and very hot today.
No rain forecast for the next 10 days.
Have the cooler on and will be staying indoors. I’ll keep the birds and lizard(s) watered but that will be about it outside.
I don’t fair well in the heat, even after 59years.

I know I'm in my own little world, but it's OK... they know me here.
Yesterday stayed wet all afternoon. At 20:00 the rain had stopped but only just. This morning first thing we had a light breeze, it was mild and dry under an almost clear sky, just some scattered clouds. It's still dry but we have more cloud now. The glass is up on 994mb and rising. The forecast is for heavy showers interspersed by sunny intervals all day. The constant SW wind is moderate gusting to 35mph giving a high of 7C and a low of 2C with as much as -5C wind chill at times. The outlook continues to be mixed, colder and brighter tomorrow but then much warmer and wetter weather is expected.
Just seen your post Cathy. Yes, that would be too hot for me to be comfortable but no chance of that here!
Happy New Year Love....

Not much better here Kev.
The best way to describe how yesterday ended up is damp. At 20:00 we had an almost full moon (Friday Jan 6th) behind a thin veil of cloud. This morning it's calm and dry and we have a clear sky, evidence of a light shower during the night. The glass is up on 1003mb and rising. The forecast is for a bright sunny day but cold, there is a yellow warning for ice underfoot until 11:00 but I think that's a bit pessimistic. The SW wind will be light and give us a high of 4C and a low of 0C tonight with a -4C wind chill. Tomorrow will be a mild wet day and the rest of the week is mild and broken. We could even have 10C on Wednesday.

I had my walk and a bit of light shopping but no sit, a bit too cold for that but a very acceptable day after all the wet windy weather we've had.
I've just noticed that we have had a very light rain shower. That wasn't on the hymn sheet!

Yesterday afternoon was dry but cold and at 20:00 it was dry and clear but veiled with thin cloud. This morning it's calm, cold and clear up to now. The glass is up on 1014mb and tending to fall. The forecast is for heavy rain all day starting at 06:00. The southerly wind is light to moderate but gusting to over 35mph at times giving a high of 9C and the same temperature tonight with a wind chill that could reach -5C. The outlook is for a week of temperatures like these with occasional showers.

Yesterday was a wet day and at 20:00 we had a breeze, overcast and imminent rain. This morning first thing we still had the breeze and evidence of recent rain but not actually raining at the time. Since then it has started raining. The glass is down on 1000mb and still falling. The forecast is for a day of rain. The3 constant WSW wind is brisk and gusts to over 45mph giving us a high of 9C and a low of 7C with a wind chill of up to -5C. The outlook is for similar broken weather.

Yesterday was wet and windy, at 20:00 it was just wet. Same first thing this morning, still raining. the glass has risen to 1012mb and is still rising. The forecast is for a cloudy day with light rain around midday. The SW wind is moderate and gusts to 35mph giving us a high of 10C and a low of 5C with a -3C wind chill. The outlook is for more showery mild weather. Margaret tells me the forecast for Perth today is a high of 38C.

Yesterday was, once more, wet and windy. The rain ceased a couple of times around 14:00 but by 20:00 it was raining again as night fell. First thing this morning it was wet after a recent shower but we had a full moon in an almost clear sky with some big banks of cloud. It wasn't raining. The glass is down on 1004MB. The forecast is for a dry day with bright overcast and perhaps some sunny spells late morning. The SW wind is moderate and gusts to almost 40mph at times giving a high of 8C, a low of 7C and a wind chill of -5C at times this morning. The outlook is for mild wet and broken weather for the next week.

I didn't even try for a walk as I had cooking to do for the next week. As it happened I didn't miss any good weather, the wind chill was bitter in the early part of the day and when the wind bated a bit it started raining. Never mind, I am on the last lap of veggie cooking for the week. A big job and it's out of the way.....

Enjoy it Cathy. Here's our weather for today....
Yesterday turned out damp and windy. At 20:00 the wind was getting up, the glass falling and we had light rain. This morning we have a blustery wind and light rain under a cloudy sky. The glass has fallen to 993mb. The forecast is dead simple, heavy rain all day. The SW wind is brisk and gusts to over 35mph. The high is 10C and the low tonight 5C with a -4C wind chill at times. The six day outlook is for similar weather, none of it what you'd call normal winter weather.

Yesterday was mostly wet and windy. At 20:00 it had almost stopped raining and the cloud was breaking. First thing th is morning it was dry under a clearing sky with a good moon but evidence of plenty of rain during the night. It's still clear and dry but the wind is getting up. The glass is down on 983mb and steady. The forecast is for the cloud to increase and heavy rain by midday. The moderate SW wind will gust to 30mph giving a high of 5C and a low of 3C with a wind chill of -5C for much of the day. The outlook is for broken wet weather with temperatures varying from 5C to 11C. None of it what you'd call hard winter weather.

When I looked at the forecast this morning I thought that the wind chill might be a bit exaggerated. I've been for a walk and a short experimental sit and am now convinced they told the truth. That wind sliced straight through me and if I hadn't had my Crombie on with a padded shirt underneath I would have been frozen!
I'm glad I have had a walk but also glad to be back inside in the warm.....

I'm glad it isn't just me Wendy. Thanks for the reinforcement!
Yesterday was a cold and at times wet day, February weather actually..... At 20:00 it was breezy and we had a mostly clear sky but with some large well defined clouds. It was like that first thing this morning and hasn't changed since. The glass is almost unchanged on 983mb and rising. The forecast is for rain to start in the next hour and to persist all day. The westerly wind is moderate and gusts to 40mph later this afternoon. It gives us a high of 5C and a low of 3C with a -5 wind chill that means the perceived temperature never feels like anything but freezing. The outlook is for milder wetter weather, tomorrow will be double figures. It's a strange spell of weather.

Yesterday stayed bitter cold and later in the day it was wet as well. At 20:00 it was dry but cold and overcast. It was the same first thing this morning. Since then the overcast has thinned, I can just see the moon now, and the wind is rising. The glass is up on 1004mb and tending to fall. The forecast is a yellow warning of heavy rain starting at 06:00 and lasting all day. The southerly wind is brisk and gusts to 45mph giving us a high of 11C and a low tonight of 5C with a wind chill of up to -5C. The outlook continues to be broken weather and getting colder overall.
Later.... listening to the Shipping Forecast I heard a low pressure of 963mb being quoted in the far north. That low figure was emphasised, no mistake.

Yesterday was a wash out. The rain bated for a short while around 18:00 but then another band of wind and rain came i and at 20:00 we were back to square one, heavy rain. First thing this morning we had a moon peering down on us through ragged clouds moving very fast but it was dry, we have light rain as well now. The glass is down on 951mb and trying to rise. The forecast is for light showers and broken cloud all day giving way to 100% cloud cover this evening. The constant WSW wind is brisk and gusts to over 40mph giving us a high of 6C and a low of 4C tonight with a -5C wind chill. The 6 day outlook is for similar unsettled weather with perhaps a tendency to get cooler later in the week.
Later at 6AM.... It has stopped raining!
