No headache this morning, still phlegmy but it’s very loose, starting to feel a bit more normal. Himself still testing positive yesterday and I’m after him, so I’ll leave testing another day or so, no rush, not got a bus to catch
Good to hear you're both on the mend Gloria, P says she feels 100% now and is testing negative. I still have the occasional productive cough but other than that all is good. Still testing positive is a bonus for me, it means I can drop P off at Aldi and wait in the car park while she shops

Gee thanks Peter! So I have to worry about my brain shrinking now have I? As if I hadn't got enough on my plate.
I think we may find eventually that other virus infections do similar things to our brain. Perhaps some, or much, of dementia is due to a lifetime's accumulation of the results of virus attacks. It's a good reason for having all the vaccines on offer. We should be due for No.4 covid vaccine soon, I guess.
We forget covid is the most researched virus. I strongly suspect that many of the features we fear are present in many other viruses that have not been researched as much

plus vick sinex before he went to bed
Sadly I can't use decongestants.
Shame, I know one pf my friends can’t, but steam works quite well. I use steam as olbas oil makes my eyes stream
The steam certainly cleared my head yesterday, it involved a lot of productive coughing after I emerged from under the towel but the pressure relief is wonderful. I may have to give some Olbas Oil a go.

Olbas, or any oil, can cause irritation if inhaled mixed with steam. I'd just sniff it from a hanky and use a saline solution to inhale.
I'll watch out for that. I have used Olbas oil in the sauna, that certainly clears the tubes
The favourite oil for inhalation when I was a lad was Eucalyptus, not quite as savage as Olbas?
(I've just looked Olbas up and find it has Eucalyptus in it. Did you know that the name derives from 'Oil of Basel'?)

I am surprised. It was the GP many years ago that to,d me to put two drops in a steam inhalation.. i find on a hanky it really does make my eyes water. I often put one under my pillow if I have a cold, that seems to work

Both feeling okay apart from loose phlegm, himself still testing positive, no point in me testing as I’m behind him, he will test again tomorrow.
That's good to hear Gloria, pretty much the same here. P was negative yesterday and hopefully will be today too. I will test as well but suspect it will still be positive despite feeling OK.

P couldn't find any Olbas yesterday but did get me an inhaler stick (Vicks). Sinuses are a lot less uncomfortable this morning so definitely on the mend.

I'm sure it's OK if you are using a bowl of hot water and towel to inhale. The problems arise if any droplets of oil get inhaled with the steam. I'm an Olbas user myself.

P has had two consecutive negative LFTs now, I'm still 'plague ridden' unfortunately. No paracetamol dependency today for sinus discomfort which is a definite improvement, getting bored with social responsibility now

I'm still testing positive this morning, apart from an annoying 'phlegmy' cough and a bit of sinus pressure all is good. Social responsibility continues.

I have just realised my morning post is in the wrong place. Can it be moved please. So has the pucture of the turkey.....
I nearly moved them Sue, but lost my nerve! Ian will sort it for you.

Himself much the same as you Kev, and still testing positive. I seem to have taken a couple of steps back, phlegmy, headachy and aching.

The surgery are trying to contact me. I think it might be to do with booster number 4 as I heard on R4 yesterday that they are starting 'rolling it out' this month..... I shall report back....
