I love Soreen malt bread too. Never had rabbit could never fancy it still can't as I had pet rabbit's as a kid. Last night we had chicken curry. Eileen

Surprised myself yesterday by taking advantage of a BOGOF on good quality pizzas in the Co-op. Years since I had any and quite enjoyed it.

Omelette & Chips with garden peas & brocolli.

Had nothing in hence the shopping trip today. Beans & Sausages on Toast and a Toasted teacake. Eileen

Second pizza bit the dust. Butties today I think or beans on toast.

Made a pie from the bunny stew leftovers. Eileen I get the rabbits all prepared and ready frozen, so I don't have to think of them as sweet furry things. They come down from Scotland when my neighbour has been visiting his son at Beattock, but best of all they are free and very tasty.

Thanks for that Wendy, I remember seeing them like that in the butchers shop window but still didn't appeal to me. The eat a great deal of rabbit in France but just the look of it puts me off. Last night roast beef with all the trimmings. Eileen

Dead easy, two small meat pies and half a Soreen loaf. Half a bar of chocolate for pudding!

Had a big chicken butty at dinnertime with two hot cross buns for pudding. Not hungry at teatime so the other two Hot Cross buns a banana and the other half of the chocolate bar for pudding. Well balanced?

Sausage, tomato and fried egg butty. Simple grub, lovely!

Doc gave me two Aberdeen Angus sirloin steaks. One on a butty for tea and the other casseroled with onion and tomato and had it with bread pobs made from the last crust of the loaf for tea. Another meal left in it for tea tonight. Must put a loaf in straight away so it will be ready at dinnertime. (Broke off and did it....)

The steak casserole bulked up with a tin of baked beans fed me twice. Thanks Doc!
Today's menu is unclear but it will feature black pudding and poached egg.....

Black pudding rejected in favour of a meat pie for lunch and new potatoes, peas, mint and salad cream with two poached eggs on top for tea. Pudding was some grapes and a couple of the pecuiar flat peaches Chowdrey's have at this time of the year. Dead ripe, wonderfully juicy and delicious!

Too warm for cooking, chicken butty on home made bread.....

I'd forgotten how good Cyprus potatoes are. Boiled spuds, peas, a meat pie cut into pieces, a half black pudding that was hanging round and two eggs fried and mixed in. Slad cream on top. Sounds like a mixture and it is but very tasty, cheap and good grub! Some spuds left over for today. I don't know what it is about spuds and peas but I could live off them.

I'm with you Stanley, We always buy Cyprus potatoes if we can, they sell them all year round now but they can be expensive. Funny the supermarkets don't tend to stock them. We get them from Ramsbottom market.

Wendy your tea last night sounds super and very healthy. Last night we had low fat lasagne well I did, Dave had Moules and Chips.

Chowdrey's sell them in Barlick. One boiling did two meals and enough left over for tea today. Had spuds, peas and two poached eggs last night. Light, easily digestible and I enjoyed it.
