Morning Cathy!
I agree. Common sense seems to have gone out of the window..... Or maybe it's just a very peculiar sense of humour.

I suppose it made sense to someone.

That reminds me of when we moved to Buckinghamshire and my parents came on their first visit. My dad saw the newsagents and he picked up a copy of the Bucks Free Press and walked out without paying for it. He genuinely thought it was free in the sense of no payment required. That was the newspaper that Terry Pratchett worked for when he left school and I'm sure he would have applauded my dad!

I think your Dad would have had a case under the Trade Descriptions Act!

I like the cardiac nurse one Cathy....
Kev, that is so true, particularly the oven. I used to have an electronic digital watch that played 'The Yellow Rose of Texas' if you tried to alter the time. In the end I gave up trying!

I wonder if our former OG member Bradders still has the car with the stuck time zone and cheers every time it coincides with the correct time?
I've just read a letter in today's Times about local borders. The writer said that in the 1950s a part of Lancashire was made Greater Manchester and the locals referred to it as `Lancastration'.

Unlikely I'd say since he died some while ago.
