Same here Stanley, just got back from walk, lovely in the sunshine, but the breeze was a tad sneaky.

Yesterday the rain came in on schedule at 16:00 and by 20:00 we had a breeze and constant rain. Same this morning but there were ice balls on the dustbin, evidently we had a wintry shower during the night. It's still raining now. The glass is down with a bump and steady on 985mb. The forecast is for the rain to stop at 08:00 and we shall have a bright sunny spell until noon when rain will come in again for the rest of the day. We have a southerly wind until this evening when it swings into the north. It will be brisk, gusting to 35mph at times and giving us a high of 6C and a low tonight of 3C. The -5C wind chill all day until this evening means that for much of the day the perceived temperature will be freezing or below. The outlook is for it to start warming up tomorrow and by weekend we are promised 16C.....
Later.... after listening to the shipping forecast it's obvious that the UK is going to be battered by the wind today.Very few coastal area will escape Force 10 gales. If you're going to do anything outside do it early!

Lovely pic Wendy and yes, there were hailstones in my yard this morning first thing.
Listening to the shipping forecast it is obvious that the inland winds are going to be a lot lighter in the North of England and in Scotland then in the South. That's welcome news and unusual.

Rain and wind during the night, expected it to be still here this morning, but no, it’s bright sunshine and a light breeze.

Same here until noon Gloria.
I have just been to post a letter and once again they were honest about that wind chill, it's at least -5C! That wind cuts right into you if you are not wrapped up well.

Yesterday was wet from noon onwards. At 20:00 it was still raining. First thing this morning we had a light breeze and steady cold rain, it hasn't changed since. The glass fell yesterday to 974mb in the afternoon. It has risen since and is now on 986mb and rising. The forecast is for the rain to ease to heavy overcast around 09:00 and then improve to an afternoon of sunny spells and intermittent showers. The constant west wind is brisk and gusts to well over 36mph giving a high of 8C, a low tonight of 3C and a -5C wind chill for most of the day. The outlook is for a slightly warmer day tomorrow and then bright weather with double figure temperatures later in the week.

I've been into Town Square for my veggies.... Once again they were right about the -5C wind chill. That wind is bitter and for good measure I had a light shower of rain. Back home now and the veggies stowed away ready for cooking. It fells nice and warm inside.

Yesterday the afternoon deteriorated to rain and at 20:00 it was still raining very lightly. This morning we have a very light breeze, a clear sky and it is cool. The glass has risen to 987mb and the forecast is for a dry sunny morning but by noon it will have clouded over and we shall have light showers. The light wind is variable, starts in the SE and ends in the NW giving a high of 8C and a low of 2C tonight. The wind chill is -2C all day. The outlook is better, big change tomorrow into double figures and dry and this is the picture until the end of next week.

It was a wet afternoon but by 20:00 the rain had stopped leaving us with overcast and a light breeze. This morning first thing we still had the light breeze and the sky was clear. I think we have light overcast now but it's hard to see. The glass is up on 1011mb and rising. The forecast is for a dry day, bright overcast with sunny intervals. The very light wind visits all points of the compass and gives us a high of 12C and a low of 6C tonight with negligible wind chill. The outlook is for similar dry bright weather for the next week.

We went to Skipton yesterday, by lunchtime it was raining quite heavily, rained most of the way back. This morning is bright and sunny, the makings of a lovely day.

I've had me walk and half an hour on traffic duty. That sun is warm when it's out but when it goes in behind a cloud the light breeze reminds you it isn't summer yet!

Yesterday managed to stay dry despite the overcast. At 20:00 it was calm mild and dry but overcast. Same this morning. The forecast is for an overcast day with the chance of a light shower late morning but otherwise dry. The glass is up again on 1021mb. The wind is southerly and light and gives us a high of 12C, a low of 8C and negligible wind chill. The outlook for the next week is for dry bright weather with similar temperatures to today....
