Bright and sunny at the moment, with just the odd cloud floating about.

Much better than forecast. As Gloria says, all bright and sunny. I have done my bedding wash, dried it and put it away. Oz drying rules. I have been for my veggies and Kev and I spent almost two hours trying to persuade my Firestick it isn't in America. Failed miserably and gave up. Bugger Firestick.

Yesterday was a fine afternoon but by 20:00 it was starting to cloud over. First thing this morning it was calm cool and light cloud but dry. The glass is down on 1009imb The forecast is for a rainy day from 09:00 onwards. The WSW wind will be moderate giving a high of 15C and a low of 13C tomorrow with up to -2C wind chill. The six day outlook is for similar temperatures all week and broken showery weather.

Yesterday finished with a succession of light showers. At 20:00 we had light, wetting rain. First thing this morning it was the same. I've had a look and it has stopped raining but is still wet. The glass has dropped to 998mb and the forecast is for an overcast and mainly showery day. The constant West wind is brisk gusting to 40mph giving us a high of 16C and a low of 11C with as much as -5C wind chill this afternoon. The six day outlook is for even cooler weather, brighter with some sunny spells but plenty of light showers.

Yesterday managed to stay dry.... Just! But the afternoon was overcast and at 20:00 it was the same. First thing this morning it was breezy, cool and clear. Th glass was up on 1004mb and rising. Since then the sky has clouded over. The forecast is for heavy rain to come in any time now and for the day to be very mixed with a lot of showers. The constant we3st wind will be brisk and gust to over 35mph giving a high of 15C a low of 10C tonight and a wind chill of up to -4C this afternoon, not what you'd call summer weather! The six day outlook is for similar cool weather until next Friday when it might get back up to 20C again (but don't hold your breath!).
Later.... At 07:00. The promised heavy rain hasn't arrived yet.

Those temperatures are about the same as ours Cathy and we call it summer!
The forecast today so far has been rubbish, none of the forecast rain at all. It says now that it will start raining in an hour..... We shall see!
(It started raining at 11:00.)

The forecast for today looks very similar to yesterday's which was rubbish. They forecast rain and apart from an odd shower and rain in the night we had none. At 20:00 it was breezy, dry and overcast. This morning it is breezy, clear and damp after a shower in the night. The glass is steady on 1004mb. The forecast is for heavy rain followed by thunder showers this afternoon. The westerly breeze is light to moderate gusting to 30mph and giving a high of 14C a low of 10C tonight and a wind chill of -3C. The outlook is the same as yesterday, similar low temperatures until Friday when it warms up a bit.

They are trying to frighten us again about the Climate. Record hot June and all the fish in the cut are dying.

Well - up to a point Lord Copper. . .

I've just had a look at the records made public by a very useful Pennine weather stationfor June, and find that there was a hot spell of a few days around the middle of the month - and some laborious arithmetic gives an average temperature of 14.62 C. Not the 15.8 C as they say.

I guess it depends on where you measure it.

It looks as if July might compensate though, as I went back to the Autumn quilt a few days ago - and had my fleece on in the evening for the last few days. The nights are drawing in too - it was quite dark by 10.00 pm last night.

The idea that 'climate' can be measured over such a short time period as they are doing now is simply ridiculous.

Agreed David and like you I suspect they aren't taking notice of much more than the pampered SE which is always warmer than Barlick. We usually have Edinburgh weather!
Yesterday was showery and by 20:00 had decided to be overcast. This morning it's calm, cool and almost perfectly clear, just a few scattered thin clouds and evidence of a light shower during the night. The glass is unchanged on 1004mb and the forecast is for light showers changing to cloud by noon. The WSW wind is moderate giving a high of 16C and a low of 10 tonight with a -3C chill this afternoon. Two more days at this temperature but then we get warm again for the end of the week and there is less rain forecast.

They say variety is the spice of life but when we get to discussions about climate change they sytop being spicy and are simply confusing.
Yesterday was a better day than forecast and at 20:00 it was calm and we had full sun coming in under the cloud cover. First thing this morning it was calm, dry and we had broken cloud. It hasn't changed. The glass has eased down a shade to 1003mb. The forecast is 'cloudy changing to light showers by late morning'. The westerly winds are moderate and give us a high of 16C and a low of 12C tonight with a -3C wind chill. The 6 day outlook shows it warming up but rain at weekend.

Yesterday we had the frequent light showers and at 20:00 we had heavy overcast and no late sun. First thing this morning it was calm, dry and overcast. It hasn't changed since. The glass is up on 1008mb and the forecast is for a dry, bright overcast day after a chance of early showers this morning. The light to moderate SW wind gives us a high of 18C and a low of 14C tonight with a -2C wind chill possible. The six day outlook is for similar weather and warmer with rain expected on Monday.

Yesterday stayed overcast but dry and at 20:00 we had 100% cloud and no sun. This morning first thing we had a clear sky and an almost full moon and it hasn't changed since. (It was full on the 3rd and I missed it) The glass is up a shade on 1009mb and the forecast is for a dry day with full sun most of the time. The southerly winds will be moderate and give us a high of 24C and a low of 15C tonight with perhaps a -2C chill this afternoon. The outlook is for similar weather but cooling and with more showers.
