I need to buy a 'gadget'. My sister-in-law has one I can borrow to see how I get on with it, apparently butternut squash spaghetti is very good :-)

I only bought my gadget thingy yesterday, so I am a first time user.
Loved the Zucchini Noodles, but have learnt a valuable lesson. I turned mine without any breaks ( and it was a big Zucchini) and the noodles were about 4 foot long as a result. Too long. ( ha!....hubby was pulling and winding and pulling and winding...it was hilarious to watch. ). Must cut them to a more user friendly length. They were delicious though.

He has since remarked that it was rather like eating dinner from my knitting bag... :laugh5:

As we had fish & chips in Skipton at lunch time (at Aunt Bessie's - not up to usual standard), hubby had a ham sandwich & I had strawberries & cream later.

My hubby really doesn't like take-away food, and unfortunately I did such a good job of the crumbed Prawns, he says we should have these from now on. They were yummy, I must admit. ( groan)

David does right to avoid take-away. The only one I trust is good fish and chips.... He paid you a compliment!
Two chicken legs and a Scotch Egg for dinner. Steak pudding and peas for tea. Cheese and an apple for pudding.

I've never cooked it like that, though I've seen it served at a dinner party. I use butternut/Japanese pumpkin ( different shape).
I have frozen the rest of the Soup as I didn't fancy it two nights running. Hubby would have it every night for a week, but he's getting slow cooked Braised Steak and Onions tonight...with Cabbage, Carrots and Mashed Spuds.
I've been finishing off my Ancestry filing as I attend a free Ancestry course on Thursday. ( must be organised Maz!). It is Australian Ancestry, and I am on the hunt for new ways to discover records of my son's Ancestry. He has some superb ancestors! No criminals ( they were all free settlers and some even paid their own passage, others were assisted). I've only turned up one shady character so far...a fraudster/conman/gambler. He was fun to chase...he got caught every time and just stumbled from one predictable disaster to another.

Maz. My Granddad in Oz, old Alex, had a shady past.....
I had a small bowl of mutton and pea for dinner and just Stilton and oatcakes for tea with an apple for afters. First picking of fresh mint today, gave a lovely twist to the Mutton.
