I've been trying to get some gardening done, but rain keeps stopping play, which is not something I get to say often in this part of the world.
Thrice I have had to abandon trimming bushes in the front garden today.
Might read a book instead...

Thinning my wardrobe out - I have things in there I have not worn for ages and now as we don't go out much will probably never wear again (it is said if you have not worn it for a year get rid!) Hubby has shirts from 45 years ago - but rarely wears them. The charity shop will benefit.

His 45-year-old shirts might be better quality than those available in the shops now Moh. My ancient jumpers are better than new ones.

Often the case Tiz. My favourite Crombie is far heavier cloth than is used today and someone once pointed out to me that because of this, it is worth £400 on the retro clothing market..... The shirt I am wearing this morning is an Osh Kosh heavy cotton twill work shirt. They haven't been made for years as Osh Kosh went out of the work wear market to concentrate on children's clothes.
I am still chasing the crankshaft buried in this lump of steel....

The new kitchen us coming along well, just decorating and wall tiling left. It feels nice that all cupboards are clean and sparkling inside and out.
What a year it has been though. We had such sad news this week. Another Aunty in Sheffield had died , aged only 83. I was only joking with her at Christmas that she had another 10 years in her yet. We don't know the cause at the moment. It was vey sudden. I hope to go to the funeral, this will probably be my last chance to refind all my Mums relatives.

Three months into our new cupboards and drawers and we have just about found the best place for everything. Putting in drawers for pans and baking stuff was a good move as was moving all the plastic containers into drawers. Good luck with you particular puzzle.

You have just described what I have done Ian, except I had to move the plastic stuff back into a cupboard. I have put all my baking crockery etc into a drawer. The biggest change is that I have managed to get most things off the worktop into a cupboard. It's Bobs herbs and spices that have caused me the most problem.!

I put a couple of narrow pull out larder cupboards in for stuff like that Sue, you'll sort it.

Watching the horizon for Wendy laden with pullet eggs....
I have the added complication in the kitchen that some shed stuff overflows into the cupboards so the worktops are full as well! But I don't mind organised clutter.....

Oh aren't steroids both a blessing and a curse, Moh?
Off for a few days in the Tin Tent. We have reached our first destination but there is no plan, as yet as to where we go next. Travelling in tandem with friends, so guess that will be discussed over dinner tonight.
Currently at Lake Albert. Have been here before and love it.

Butcher's Day today and perhaps a bit of writing then a quiet trip into the shed. I've been doing a bit too much lately....
Never mind the source Moh, use the energy while it is available!

If it stays dry today I am going to do some welding practice in the back yard to try out my new automatic screen.... If not, I have plenty to do in the shed.
06:00. Two kinds of cooking going on this morning. A pan full of veggies with minimum amount of water in as I don't want to throw any of the juices away. And some welding rods baking to make sure they are bone dry.... That gives me the best chance of success should I do any practice welding this morning.

I tested the screen and all is well, a great improvement on my old screens... It hasn't made me into an expert yet but I shall do some more practising when we have fine weather.
Back to straight machining in the shed today as I make steady progress towards the two engines for the ladies.....
