Mother's Day in Oz.
Son and his dog coming for lunch ( his partner is having lunch with her kids).
So we are cooking Crumbed Prawns with air-fried chips. Febby peeled and cleaned the Prawns and I have crumbed them.
I've made a bowl of Marie Rose...and we have Tartare and fresh Lemon.
Should be a nice lunch. Not sure yet if I will bother with wine (too early for me). Perhaps a fizzy mineral water instead.

Moh, have you tried Cyprus potatoes? I reckon they taste just as good as Jerseys.
I had steak, peas and egg all fried in butter for dinner. Steak pudding and peas for tea with an apple afterwards.

Not sure what that is Maz! However, I suspect I was with you. I had a cooking fest yesterday. Bacon lardons and onions fried in butter. Carrots boiled, cabbage cooked and more cabbage and cauliflower steamed on top. Meanwhile, sausages and tomatoes were grilled and then cut up and dropped in the slow cooker with a tin of chopped tomatoes and the usual condiments. The carrots followed into the cooker as was part of the cabbage and the cauliflower. The rest of the cabbage and the fired bacon and onions went into pan to be gently cooked and persuaded to meld with each other.
Dinner was a pick of a small ready cooked chicken. Tea was a bowl of the sausage and veggie mix followed by an apple. As the level drops in the slow cooker today it will be topped up with the remainder of the cabbage, onion and bacon. All quite healthy I think!

Due to a misunderstanding between me and Susan (I thought she was bringing my lunch when she visited) I had a Wendy style fasting day, nothing at all between 7PM the previous night and 5PM yesterday when I had two breaded cod fillets and mushy peas with fresh mint from the garden followed by cheese on oatcakes and an apple.

Kath gave me a 10oz cottage cheese with chives on Friday which was on its last day. Dinner was a Scotch egg with cottage cheese and tea was a steak pudding and mushy peas followed by Black Bomber Cheddar (Incredibly expensive but superb!) on oatcakes and an apple for pudding. A cooking storm coming up this morning with free leccy!

This is Welsh Moh, The Snowdonia Cheese Company.
I bought cabbage and carrots yesterday to augment the mutton and peas. Had it for dinner and tea. Got Sweetheart Cabbage instead of Savoy for a change. Very nice.

I'm not frightened of eggs Moh.....
Had a Scotch egg and cottage cheese for dinner. Rib steak, peas, tomatoes and two fried eggs for tea followed by a small cream trifle... I like this eating plan!
