When was that Peter? I have been passed from pillar to post with my dads service record and have been waiting months. Nothing since last year from National Archives who now have them and have intimated that chasing emails will not be answered.

At the moment I can't find my record of when I first applied but I know it took a long time, something like autumn through to spring. This was direct with the RAF, not National Archives, and they do warn applicants it will be a lengthy process due to the number of applications. They too warned about `chasing emails'. I hope it comes through soon for you.

The people who write this jokes have no idea how firmly a good pair of pot gobblers are in your mouth! I can't say for bra straps, doesn't apply to me.... :biggrin2:

Yes Cathy, it's a problem I recognise. My solution is a loose waistband and braces. That way you can hang your trousers at whatever level you want. :biggrin2:

I know the problem too. Mrs Tiz and I both remember in our youth knowing men who wore trousers on braces and with waistbands bigger than their waist. When they turned around the trousers followed after a small delay!

In my defence may I state that my waistband isn't that loose! :biggrin2:
