I put the hock ham, chopped up, in the slow cooker with the defatted cider gravy and chucked a bag of frozen peas in. So ham and pea soup X two for dinner and tea, no afters, just an apple. Butcher's day today......

We had chicken & chorizio kebabs, roasted mixed vegetables (peppers, garlic, tomatoes and red onions) served with lime and coriander rice. Followed by gooseberry crumble and cream, first crop from the front garden.

Yes I saw it and corrected it while I was re-reading the last few posts..... Old age Ian!
Had a scotch egg for dinner and cooked cabbage and carrots. For tea I had a rib steak and two eggs on a bed of cabbage. No afters, just an apple. Kath has got me hooked on those steaks!

It will be home made pizza for us tonight. Dough is on it's last cycle in the bread maker, (it makes excellent dough), enough for two pizzas. Both will be veggie jobs with mozzarella, onion, tomatoes, peppers and sweetcorn. Sally will probably embellish with a few other veggies, I'm adding chorizo and basil to mine. 15 mins and I will be slicing the veg, getting hungry typing it up.

Made "Stottie" to go with the Tikka as an alternative to Naan Bread.
( we can thank the Hairy Bikers for that bit of devilment...I watch them every afternoon while I excercise on my Pilates Ball)

I had an avocado with a dollop of mayo then one square of dark chocolate and a handful of walnuts for afters. Minimal eating day!

I could be happy with that, Wendy.
I often just have a palm full of Walnuts for lunch...
We had an Avocado on our Croissant last night, but they are quite pricey here, costing about £1.25 per small/hard one. I bought ours on Friday and let it ripen in the fruit bowl until Monday night.

We enjoyed the Stottie, though most of it went in the freezer. I only allowed 4 very thin wedges each with our Curry ( about a third of one Stottie in total). The curry was amazing.

Every mouthful was delicious Maz! Same with my bowl of berries with full fat yoghurt and a dash of cream this morning, followed by a shot of strong espresso. Yum!
Our son, whose eating habits were appalling, started on a low carb diet after Xmas and has now got hooked on eating this way. He is a tall lad but had reached nearly 23 stone and was getting really unhealthy. He has lost over 4 stones now and looks and feels great...

That is terrific, Wendy.
He must have carried his weight well, because he looked OK in the photo at Christmas!
My husband weighs himself every morning! So he has a good moan if his weight goes up a few grams...I barely remember to weigh myself every few months. As a consequence of hubby's daily weighing, we eat a lot of Soup.
( I get a bit sick of Soup, but we will likely have that tomorrow night after 4 tiny wedges of Stottie that I could see daylight through!)

I think I have the cauliflower rice thing sorted. Plenty of spices in it, a bit of butter and a splash of water. You soon get used to the fact that it's not rice :-)

I like your idea of the minimal eating day Wendy. My scotch egg at dinnertime is a gesture in that direction as I don't need much then. My problem is that my veggie and minimal meat stews are so good and I know what you mean by enjoying every mouthful. I don't weigh myself regularly, I go by the fit of my clothes. If I want to remind myself I deliberately put a pair of trousers on that are a bit too snug!
BTW, I had the veggie stew X two yesterday.

Scotch egg and mushy peas for dinner and steak pudding, peas and two boiled eggs for tea followed by an apple. I always cook my steak puddings the old-fashioned way by steaming for a a couple of hours. Yesterday I popped two eggs in 15 minutes before tea and it was a good move, a nice combination.
Kev popped in with my blood sugar meter and it read 8.3 which he said was a normal figure for him after a meal..... I shall do another reading before breaking my fast later this morning...... Thanks Kev....

Scotch egg and cottage cheese for dinner and a rib steak I have marinaded for two days with tomatoes and veggies for tea. During the day I cooked veggies and slow cooked mutton. By last night I had enough food cooked for the next few days.
