The 'scissors' also look useful to grip a canvas or rubber drive belt to pull over a pulley or similar.

A clamp rather than forceps (I could be wrong)...

Thanks to Mrs Tripps being in the business - we always referred to these as "Spencer Wells". I looked it up, and she was right - very reasonable on ebay too.

All sensible and Mrs Tiz is dead right, Spencer Wells clamp. But why have that combination handy in the shed?

In my electronics workshop they get quite a bit of use. Wire threading, retrievers, and the small ones make very good heat shunts to prevent soldering iron heat damaging sensitive components

All good possible uses but I use them mostly for getting splinters and bits of metal out of my hands. I should have included the magnifying glass!
Try this one....

Looks like a tiny bench for a dolls house garden. Probably used as a stand to rest the pipe on.

You mean a tar bucket for a cobbler ? ( as in Shoes or As in Stone Setts for road surfaces ? ) .. Whom would carry ( with gloves ) with such a short handle ?

This one has foxed you. It's the standard bucket used for the old pail toilets, that's why it has the flared rim at the top. I happened to see it on some waste ground in Barlick and snapped it. Never seen one before. There must have been thousands of them but they would be scrapped when water carriage system came in.

Spot on Bodge. Bearing brasses for the flyshaft bearings on the Jubilee Engine. One of the originals was unworn due to bad fitting when new so only three needed.
Boring the bearings at Gissing and Lonsdale's.
