They were very good, I'll share the recipe when Agata emails it.
Tonight we will be having spicy chicken & avocado in lettuce wraps, followed by a chocolate mousse pudding (birthday treat!) Both recipes from Tom Kerridge's Dopamine Diet book.

Hubby just downed two big bowls of Veg Soup for tea and begged me not to throw the rest away as he wanted it for Lunch tomorrow. We really didn't enjoy having to sniff every bit of food we consumed on holiday...scared to take a decent bite...unable to believe the cook/waiter. ( "it was just a little bit of Garlic Madam, not enough to even taste it really" or "we have never had complaints before".)
One night, we were so sick of fighting the Garlic Brigade, we went through every Ready Meal in the local supermarket ( of about 40 choices, only ONE didn't list Garlic as an ingredient...that is just ridiculous!) it was a popular brand, Pasta/Tuna/Sweetcorn Bake. Nice enough, but you wouldn't want it every night...but NOR SHOULD YOU HAVE TO!

I had a free leccy cooking fest yesterday. I cooked veggies first in the cider gravy from a mutton shoulder I cooked last week and they were ready for dinnertime so dinner was a meat pie and veggies. I also cooked the last of the mutton from the freezer and once de-boned this went in with the veggies together with the cooked shoulder of mutton from the freezer. So by teatime I had a meat heavy mutton stew. I had tea from the veggies in the stew so the remainder is ready for extending with more veggies later. In case you are wondering, I never tire of good, slow cooked mutton and veggies! I suppose I am a conservative cook......

Speaking of trump's, Sally came across an advert for ladies anti flatulance pants (knickers) yesterday. Apparently they have a carbon filter in the seat! The mind boggles, whatever happened to French Knickers? :extrawink:

(Do French knickers have something French in the seat? I can only think of Lavender)
If I suffered from flatulence I would want to treat it before it reached my knickers!!!! :laugh5:

I think I may be peculiar... I have never worried about farting, it seems a perfectly natural occasional bodily function. Mind you they are running an advert on TV at the moment for a product named V I Poo... (LINK)
My diet was off the wall yesterday. Unusually, I found myself completely out of ready use food at dinnertime. I had to go to the Co-op anyway because I needed milk and a few other items. I saw a couple of things that grabbed my attention, a new product, smoked salmon Pate with Lemon amd horse radish at an introductory price so I got that and two plain teacakes, that was dinner sorted and was a nice change and very tasty. I also saw a bucket of spiced chicken legs and wings which was half price and remembering 'Buffalo Wings' in the bars of Northfield I bought it and enjoyed it for tea.
Don't worry, I haven't gone completely off the rails, I also did veggie shopping and got the biggest cauli in the world for 59p plus broccoli, cabbage and carrots.

My son's girlfriend texted me recently to say she had bought my son some VIPoo.
I replied that I was certain he would test it to the limit of it's powers!
I haven't heard how they are going with it.

Dinner will be Red Salmon, Cauliflower and Pasta in a Tarragon/Dill/Parsley and Black Pepper Sauce.

We have had a good supply of home grown caulis this year but are back to bought ones now. Couldn't live without them! I had a bowl of cauliflower and courgette soup for lunch and an avocado for tea.
Colin cooked a beef mince and cabbage dish topped with cheese on Saturday (sometimes known as crack slaw) which was delicious but very filling, we will finish it off tonight with green beans from the garden.
